Diapers Q&A

Natural disposable diapers?

My baby has bad diaper rash issues and I would like to change to a more natural diaper (no dye, perfume, etc.) However, the ones I have tried have been stiff and scratchy instead of soft like Huggies. I also tried G Diapers, but they get soaking wet and don’t keep the wetness away from the baby’s skin, which is like instant diaper rash for my baby. Any suggestions?

  1. I would recommend cloth diapers or Seventh Generation diapers. Both are chemical free and very gentle on the babys bum.
  2. Go to WILDOATS or I think it's called " whole foods" now, they have a whole section of natural diapers . http://www.tushies.com they are all natural, too.
  3. When we have used paper diapers in the past (like for the nasty Rotavirus poos) I preferred the 7th generation. Tushies were not good at containing leaks. Would you be willing to try cloth? If so I would highly recommend a fleece-lined pocket diaper like Happy Heinys, they keep wetness away even better than a disposable!
