Diapers Q&A

Are nighttime diapers worth the money?

I have heard some moms say they use a special brand of diapers for the nighttime. I however cannot find these diapers, unless the moms are talking about Goodnights, which I thought were for potty training and bed wetting. My son is 9 months old and RARELY sleeps through the night, one problem is that his diaper is usually like a wet cement bag on his bottom so I end up changing him at least 2 times a night. I'm not sure if these diapers would help, I use Huggies and they do hold quite a bit but if I could eliminate one of those 2 diaper changes a night he may sleep a little better. So, are there nighttime diapers that hold more? If so, what are they called? Are they worth the extra money? My son wakes up, wriggles, tosses and turns until I change his diaper, then he usually will fall back to sleep. So not changing a wet diaper at nighttime is not an option for me.

  1. gosh I hope someone answers this...I need advice with this aslo!
  2. pampers are the best.
  3. I would use Pampers. They are the best absorbancy of diapers that I had found. If you are looking for an inexpensive brand, Luvs works, also. I don't know too much about a nighttime diaper unless you really are potty training... which he's a little young for that, lol. This is the best I can give you.
  4. They are huggies night time and I love them! They are so worth the money. They make them size 3-5 and the threes are hard to find. I know they carry them at babies r us. If my baby wakes up in the night and I change her then she wakes up so with the diapers I just feed her and put her back to bed. These are the actual diapers not the potty training ones. :-)
  5. I use huggies overnights. I think they are worth the money b/c I think they do hold more & since I only use them at night, 1 pack lasts at least a couple weeks.
  6. I am a single mom and have to make my money stretch...I buy just generic diapers during the day, but swear by pampers at night!
  7. In my opinion, No. I use regular Pampers Baby Dry in the day and at night.. and I don't change my son until he wakes up in the morning. My son's diaper is pretty heavy in the morning also, but the diaper does hold and doesn't leak, plus he is sleeping. As long as you change him as soon as he gets up.. I see no reason for buying nightime diapers or changing him in the middle of the night, hence, waking him up when he is all nice and cozy and warm. But if it makes you feel better to buy them, I say it won't hurt. Best Wishes. ;-)
  8. Yup- a Huggies Nightime Diaper worshipper here. They are not that much extra $$ and just think, you'll only use half the number of PJ's! (no changing of soggy jammies in the middle of the night)
