Do you hand wash your baby's cloth diapers?
Or how do you clean them up?

- Never had that luxury when the kids were growing up
- Most brand-name cloth diapers have care instructions, many of which can be found on their website. Mine are handmade from old clothes, so they don't need any special treatment. I fill the sink with hot water (with the water heater up as high as it goes) and soak the diaper in that to kill germs, wring it out, then handwash it. For soiled diapers, I prewash to remove as much stool as possible, then soak and wash as normal.
- Nope. I shake off any solids into the toilet. Then toss them in the washer. Run them through a quick wash cycle, no detergent, to rinse off any residue. Then presoak, regular wash, extra rinse - hot water, tbs detergent and a little bit of borax. During the summer I hang them to dry on the line outside, in the winter I throw them in the dryer.
- i threw them in the washer with a tiny bit of detergent and some Bac-Outâ„¢ and washed them on hot with an extra rinse. Sometimes i used Vinegar when they were a bit ripe. We rarely have sun, so I dried them in the dryer on high. Both machines are HE front-loaders.
- excess into toilet (handy hint: for sticky stuff, try holding one corner tight & flushing lol). Pre-soak, cold wash with regular detergent, extra rinse cycle. Dry in sun.
- I only have coin op laundry available, so I opt to handwash. I soak in cold, hot wash w/ detergent, a warm rinse with vinegar, & another cold rinse. It's easy & saves even more money!
