- I would call walmart ahead of time but I would think they would exchange them. If not then you have a good gift for a friend or family member who has a baby next :)
- No, you have to have a receipt for something like that...
- I think you can, call before you go to make sure.
- I dont see why not. Like the first person said, call just to double check so you dont waste your time. But as long as yoru exchanging them and not getting a refund you dont need a receipt.
- i would just tell them you got them for your baby shower and you want to exchange them for a different size.. diapers are too expensive just to throw them away..
- most walmarts will honor a swap if you talk to the store manager on the phone. It's all about the customer service. When you get to the store drop the managers name. Good luck.
- dont tell them you have had them that long. Just take them in and say my mom bought these and brought them over and she didnt read the package and got the wrong size. you will have no trouble exchanging these. I have done this numerous times because we didnt like the brand or the size that someone has gotten us.
- I took unopened diaper packs to Walmart and they let me exchange them without a receipt. That has been about two years ago though so I am not sure if they still allow that or not. Hope this helps.
- You can return them to Walmart un-opened but only if they were originally purchased from a Walmart store. I've exchanged tons of things there without the receipt so that won't be a problem but the items are coded so they will not take it back if it wasn't purchased from one of their stores.
- Make sure Wal-Mart carries them. If so, usually they will take them, especially if you are only wanting to exchange them. I had to do teh same thing with my last baby. WAY too many size 1 diapers.
- i dont see why not, i did it you just have to go to customer service first and ask threm just incase but if you say they were gifts im sure it would be ok.
- yes you can ive done it with my son...you just have to get the same brand and just get the diff size.
- I did it and didn't have any problems.
- You can take back a few of them. After so many without a receipt, they might turn you down. If you can, have other family members( with different addresses) take some back for you too!!
- You don't have to have the receipt. Wal-marts policy is the customer is ALWAYS right, and they take back pretty much ANYTHING. I'm sure they will take back a brand of diapers that they sell, in an unopened package, and exchange them for a usable size. I'm positive of it, since when I worked there, they took back things that were obviously USED, opened, played with, OLD etc....etc....For instance, they took back a pair of sneakers with mud and dirt all up the sides, a BROKEN VCR that was obviously at least four years old, no box, no reciept...and...an OPENED CD...and this was AFTER Cd burners were out. Wal-mart is dum de dum dum!!! note: Items are NOT coded. Do you think a major retailor of say Huggies is going to take the time and expense to code their packages differently for K-mart, or Walmart, or Target? They come off the truck and using the same barcode provided, are inventoried and put on the shelves. Walmart has no way of knowing where you bought those diapers...as long as they sell them, you can exchange them there.
- Yeah, walmart pretty much takes back anything and you don't need a receipt there either. I would try it, just stick them in a walmart bag and go for it. edit* you can also sell them on craigslist and at least get some money for them.
- Yes all you have to do is act as if they were a gift and exchange the sizes.
- i'm sure you could..i have done it before. If not, go to Walgreen's or some other smaller drug store, where i have also made the exchange. Just explain your situation, they should be understanding.
- some wal-marts will let you do that. both of my girls completely skipped size one and that was all I got for my baby shower. I ended up calling and explaining the situation and they told me that as long as they carry the brand and I was making an exchange.
- IF THEY ARE STILL SEALED..ABSOLUTELY>>>I have 4 kids and did it all the time..still do , it is impossible they grow so fast, you never know! walmart is great with out receipts, especially if you are willing to get the next size up!..go for it the worst thing is they will give you a merchandise credit..
- If you cannot bring them back and exchange them have you considered donating them to a woman's shelter? Or a pregnancy crisis center? I am sure they would welcome the donation.
- I don't know if they would allow that, but you could always call them and ask about their return policy and tell them you need a 2 and not a size 1 in diapers. I know the walmarts in Indiana will let you return 3 items a year without receipts but I don't know about Walmarts in other states. Also if they do let you return them and not exchange them you could just get the money for them and go straight back(since you're there anyway) and buy size 2 with the return money. Or if all else fails you could tell them that someone bought the diapers for you but they are not the right size and you were wondering if you could exchange them.(Thats what I did with my first daughter because she was a big baby at 2 months and size 1 wasn't cuttin it anymore)
- Yes, you can. I had purchased several packages of cute little newborn pampers when I was pregnant. After my 9 lb 12 oz baby came out, she fit into that size for about a day. I was able to return all 6 packages without a receipt. If you don't have a receipt they will give you a gift card instead of cash. Then you can buy bigger diapers or whatever else you may need.
