The diapers I use (Pampers Baby Dry and Saddlers) leak every night for my 3 week old baby boy.?
My poor baby wakes up because he is soaked through and I have to change his entire outfit at least twice each night. How can I stop this from happening? What brand of diapers work best for newborns? He is 9lbs and 20 inches in size so is of average size and weight.

- this happened with my son as well and we use the same diapers, i wasn't making sure his penis was tucked down. try that first if you are not already doing it.
- It could just be they are still abit big for him. I had to change both my kids the fisrt while coz of tht. Persoanlly..i found pampers the best out there.
- I had the same problem with my son we also use Pampers Swaddlers. I started pointing his boy parts down and wrapping the diaper tighter at the top we haven't had any problems since. Hope this helps!
- Pampers always leaked for me too. I also had this problem with Luvs, even though they have a "no leaks guarantee". For both my kids, I used the generic grocery store or Wal-mart brands (like White Cloud), and they worked fine. You'd get a leak every once in awhile, but not on a regular basis like with Pampers. AND, you even save a little money, which really helps over the course of two years of diapers. Good luck with this! It is such a pain to change baby and bedding multiple times a night! You can find better diapers!
- I hated Pampers and I have two boys. Try Huggies or Luvs. They work way better.
- Make sure you have the right size diaper for his body. Also make sure his little penis is pointed down when you put his diaper on him, and then feel around his legs after diapering him, incase the diaper is loose.
- I recommend Kroger comforts if you have a Kroger where you live. Usually, the store brands are better than the premium. I have used every diaper on the market...lol.
- they make "boy" diapers. there is extra padding in the front where it's needed most. I also used diaper doublers for extra absorbancy.
- He probably needs a size one diaper. Are you pointing his peepee down? You have to point little boy's pee pees down in the diaper, or else they pee right up and out of the diaper. Personally, I found that huggies supremes worked best, however, I had good luck with the ones you're using too. If he's soaking through them, (the diaper is full and heavy and he's wet through) you need the next size up. If the diapers only wet and he's soaking through its probably because his little peepee is pointed the wrong direction.
- I always perferred Huggies over Pampers. They just seem to have a closer fit.
- Try a different brand..I cant use huggies on my new babies, but pampers work great.. Just experiment!
- I use huggies snug and dry . They work the best for me . About $20.00 for 112 diapers . I tried pampers and I had the same problem . My son is now 3 months old and i wont use anything but huggies diapers and wipes . Congratulations on your son and good luck
- well they work great for my daughter now but at birth i did not like them .at birth I used the huggies gental care. I know girls are differnet from boys before all of you say anything. BUTmy cousins baby is a boy and she had the same problem. she found out that luvs done the best for her. She didnt like huggies because they were to bulky.
- you may have to go up a size my 15lber is in a size three because even through he had three more pounds to go in a size 2 he started leaking at night havent had any problems since i went up a size i use pampers
- Make sure you point his parts down when you put the diaper on. Also, it could be the diapers are not the right size for him. Pampers worked best for us when the babies were little, than we had to switch to Huggies around 4 months as they fit much better for us.
- I found Pampers to leak a lot. I loved Huggies. I also found when they were leaking a lot it was time to go up a size. They may fit the max weight but then they do not hold much. My kids did not stay in newborn size long. I am not sure what age they start the overnight diapers in but they were worth the little extra to me. My youngest seemed to leak in everything but Huggies for day and Huggies Overnight for nighttime. Good luck and congratulations!!
- I personally hated pampers from the day I'd tried them very quickly I moved to Hugues. For me they are the best brand.Pampers were not only leaking but also were giving bad rush to my baby.
- I had the same problem with all 3 of my kids so i have always went back to luvs they are the best all my friends use them now.
