- A great site is kellyscloset.com where I bought my cloth diapers. Their selection is unparalleled. If you have questions after visiting there, e-mail me!!!
- www.diaperswappers.com my friens saves quite a bit, only real cost is the start up and with the new bumkins their alot like disposables in a sense that theres no pining required only snaps. just have to be willing to rinse/wash the poopy diapers as opposed to just tossing, but we use enough disposable diapers a year to wrap the world twice, thats an insane amount of waste!!!!
- Here's a website to Kushies....they are my favorite kind to use.
- My favorite sites for information: www.diaperpin.com www.dy-dee.com www.cottonbabies.com
- starting out can be overwhelming. There is so much selection. Here's what I did to start out to see if I would like them as recommended by the only other person I know who does cloth. I got ten chinese prefolds and two covers (I have prowraps). I now have about two dozen prefolds and four covers for my youngest. Got a garbage can from walmart/target. I put the wet ones directly in bucket. Poopy ones have to be rinsed first (unless baby is solely breastfed). The best way is to dunk it in the toilet while flushing (gross, but you quit gagging after the first couple times). There is a spraying attachment you can purchase, but I didn't get it. Every other day I wash in hotwater with a cold pre-wash and an additional rinse. As far as folding, I started folding them in thirds, but now I rarely fold them unless putting them on baby and it's easier to fold once the back is under babies bum. I also use a snappi instead of pins. There are so many ways you can put the diaper on. Just experiment and see what's right for you. As far as saving money. What I have spent on diapering was our budget for three months of using disposables. You use them a lot longer than three months, so we definately have saved money.
- Earthbaby.com has tons of info. I used cloth with all 3 and with a little preparation they are just as easy as disposabel.. I used pre folds with a wrap ( bummies or imsevinmse). I did not like the all-in-one diapers. I use a diaper champ diaper pail. Arm & hammer baking soda detergent and just wsh them in the machine (NO BLEACH)
