Cloth Diapers?
New to cloth diapering just curious how to wash them for the first time.

- I have used one and only one cloth diaper. I just did not like it. I washed them in baby detergent a couple of times before using them. Hopefully you will have better luck with them than I did.
- We washed ours once in DREFT when we first got them and then we just washed them in warm water a few more times before we used them. The more you wash them the more absorbent they become so it's recommended that you wash them 3-4 times before your use them. When you get a solid diaper this is what we do. We have a "wet bucket" which is a little trash can with a lid on it, filled with hot water and about a tablespoon of vinegar. We throw all our poopy diapers in there after we shake them out in the toilet. Then we have a "dry bucket" which is just a little trash can with a lid on it that we throw all the pee diapers in. At the end of the day we wash them all together in dreft and warm water and that's it. We only use cloth diapers when we're at home, so I don't know about what to do in public.
