Diapers- Huggies or Pampers- which is better?
Public Comments
- i think when i was a baby, i wore huggies
- The cheaper of the two.
- Pampers for boys and Huggies for girls
- The cheap diapers are the same as the expensive diapers. The only reason to buy a particular brand is if your child has a reaction to a particular brand.
- neither i like luvs they work the same or better and cost less
- I loved pampers with my son because their the best but strangely huggies does better with my daughter. I guess it depends on the child because pampers the best when the baby longer or skinner but huggies is better with shorter and heavier babies.
- Pampers but they are both over priced I use white cloud from walmart they are less expensive and are just as good.
- deviantly Pampers
- Pampers-honestly, they are the best. The fit babies better-softer-and they don't leak. They just seem to conform to a babies bottom better than ANY other brand. I had three babies, and I tried them all. Pampers won hands down.
- Does anyone use cloth nappies anymore? Disposable ones are great when you have to go somewhere, I just think they are unnecessary all the time. They take so long to break down in landfill, is washing nappies not an option anymore?
- My daughter-in-law was using pampers. thought she would try huggies. Both in the swadlers. She did not like the huggies because she had ended u changing the baby's clothes five times because it leaked throough. She went back to pampers. I also used them for my children when they were babies, but I also used cloth diapers. If you have the time it would be cheaper with cloth, but pampers are easier to throw away.. But really it is up to you. Which you might like better and which your baby does not have a reaction to. Congrats on your baby, and hope this helps you a little. Have a nice night.
- Luvs
- If I had all the money in the world, I would have chosen Pampers for my daughter... but here's a secret... I bought store brand and they worked just as good!!! Dont let anyone tell you any different. Oh, and your baby will go through at least a few thousands diapers in the first year if you change her enough. Don't bother with little packs... buy the big box!!
- Its personal preference. But I prefer Huggies. I think Pampers stink! I always think my baby has peed even when I JUST changed her cuz the diapers smell funky! (though with my son I couldn't use huggies, he would pee once and it would go down his leg out the diaper!)
- YOU LIVE AND LEARN...AND THEN GET LUVS....expensive isn't the way to go because you'll go through a million of these before it's all over with
- I use both for my daughter. Although, Huggies is a participating member in UPromise, so I buy those more often.
- LUVS
- It depends on your baby. My son wore the regular huggies. They were the only diapers that didn't leak. My daughter, though, is thinner, so she wears the huggies supreme. You really just have to try out all of the diaper brands to find out what works best with your baby. And it may change as they grow.
- Pampers. Huggies always leaked with all 4 of my kids.
- Pampers Cruisers. No question.
- I hate Huggies Pampers and Luvs work a lot better on my kids
- My daughter is a Huggies girl. For her, Huggies work better than the rest. White Cloud is almost the same as Huggies, but they leak on her as soon as she pees. Hubby wants to teach her to say, "Hurray for Huggies."
- I hate huggies I got 4 pakages at my baby shower and all most all of the diapers leaked. I have never had any problems with pampers they smell good and feel softer and my daughter seems to like them better. But if you are going to go for a cheap brand of diapers especially baby which is a babies R us brand is great.
- We tried them all and we didn't have a problem with any brand. Because they all worked the same, we wound up buying the cheapest ones at Wal-Mart (Equate brand, sometimes they only carried the generic White Cloud ones). They always worked great, never had a leak, and a jumbo package is about $6 less than the same size of the brand name.Over the 2+ yrs your kid will be in diapers, that savings really adds up. Also, I prefer the Walmart (Equate) brand of baby wipes over Pampers wipes any day of the week. They're cheaper, stronger & they smell better. I never tried the Huggies wipes. We tried cloth diapers when the kids were small but I wasn't motivated enough to stick with them.
- Cloth diapers are best and cheapest to use in the long run. Disposables put plastic, paper and chemicals against your baby's skin, is this really a good thing for the baby?? Not only that but with disposables you put all that paper, plastic, chemicals and human waste into our landfills. The human waste breeds all kinds of bacteria that filters down into our water systems, yuck! Not to mention that the diapers themselves take decades to decay, long after our own bodies decay they will still be there. Why do that to our environment? I think they should be outlawed. With cloth, your baby will have less chance of getting diaper rashes, your baby will be wrapped in a nice soft cloth diaper and will be more comfortable. Your baby will potty train sooner because with the cloth diapers your baby feels more when they are wet and messy and learn quicker not to like it and want to get rid of wearing the diapers. Think long and hard about it. What are you really interested in? You should be interested in your baby's health and comfort, not your own convenience when it comes to changing diapers. Take care of your baby, they aren't supposed to be a convenience, they are little human beings that you are supposed to be taking the best care of, lovingly raising them to become happy and healthy productive adults. Good luck. .
