- Yes they will work.
- No quit being so cheap and just buy diapers. Its your child, if the child means much to you then you vvill buy it vvhatever it needs. Hovv vvould tshirts really vvork as diapers?? come on novv
- Sure! You can make great diapers from old t-shirts. Check the sites below for patterns.
- Yes, actually it will.
- Yes, they'll work, but they're not as absorbant as regular cloth diapers... You will also want to make sure they are REALLY clean, as the dyes in adult clothing can irritate a newborn's skin. Make sure to was them a couple times in baby detergent before you use them on the baby.
- of course you can! any cotton fabric would work. you just have to learn to fold them like you mentioned. you would probably also want to invest in some diaper covers. they have a waterproof coating that keeps the wetness in instead of getting everything around wet once the diaper is wet. I like the Bummis snap one. just because my toddler can't undo the velco and the snaps don't stick to everything in the wash. Good Luck! and don't listen to ProudMommy. actually, by saving money & space in the landfill you will be able to buy more for you child or invest in their future both financially & ecologically.
- Give it a try, what can it hurt right? I would try during the daytime though, when you can change it immediately if it starts leaking. I've been trying out cloth diapers for a few months now and I even tried a liner with 3 inserts ( the diaper was so big my son couldn't even crawl) and it STILL leaked.
- I guess you could if you cut them into large squares. However, they wouldn't be very absorbant. Personally I wouldn't bother. If you want to use cloth nappies, that's fine, but get some proper cloth nappies that are as absorbant as possible.
