Diapers Q&A

what store brand diapers are a good comparison to pampers swaddlers?

Public Comments

  1. It is not store brand, but Luvs are the old Pampers and they work well with my son. They have new stretchy sides called bear flex and the tape is now like Pampers.
  2. I say that nothing compares to Pampers Swaddlers but Parents Choice (walmart brand) work good. My toddler is on them.
  3. We use Kirklands from Costco and love them. They don't leak, they don't leave a residue on the skin, and they don't smell funny. I think Pampers have a chemical smell to them and there have been warnings about the chemicals used in them, and Huggies too.
  4. I'm addicted to the Swaddlers! I think they're great! The only "store" brand that I've found comes close is the Kirkland brand from Costco.
  5. I used the Babies R Us brand - something like "Just for Baby" I think - for a long time and loved them (not the supreme ones though - they seem like they're made of cardboard). Recently I bought a generic brand at Wal-Mart called "White Cloud" and they work great. The little elephant design across the front band is even based on artwork by John Lennon. Pampers swaddlers are soft and pliable, but I feel that, considering the baby is going to poop or pee all over the thing, diapers should be relatively inexpensive. p.s. I tried a case of Huggies and found that the diapers left some kind of little crystals on my daughter's bottom whenever she peed. Yuck and what the heck?
  6. I change upwards of 35 diapers per day five days a week. Right now all 6 of the children in my care are in diapers, I have a set of twins and they use the Target Brand They work just as well as the other children whom all use Pampers.
  7. Target
  8. Costco's Kirkland diapers are nice because they are very stretchy...and Target's store brand diapers are nice as well.
  9. In my opinion, none of the diapers compare to swaddlers! I have tried every type because we got so many at my shower. I LOVE the way the sides are so elastic and stretch so well so the sides are not digging into her little delicate sides. I never have to worry if it is too tight or too loose and they keep the smell from being too bad too. There are so many benefits. They are not THAT expensive if you buy them in bulk. Lets say your baby uses 12 diapers a day (I am just saying a number). You can buy a big box of 216 diapers from diapers.com that is $36.00. That is approx 2 boxes a month, so if you get paid b-weekly, that is only $36.00 out of each check. And free shipping if you bought those two boxes at once. :) The benefits are so worth it! But this is JUST my opinion. Luvs are NOTHING like swaddlers, but next best choice for dryness..in my opinion.
  10. I'd say Luv's comes closest if you're looking for the same softness, but I didn't like them all that much, the little things on the side that hold the diaper together feel like tape. Target brand seemed ok too, White Cloud(walmart) seemed too hard and not as flexible as my little one.
