Diapers Q&A

Whats the best cloth diaper to use on my baby?

I'm going to be using cloth diapers on my baby. I'm stuck between the fitteds and the all in ones. I want something comfortable and leakproof. I was also wondering if these diapers will fit under the onesies and any other clothes I may get at the shower. They all seem to look a little bulkey.

  1. not sure bout the brand but i think my step mom used cloth with onsies
  2. I am not sure which brands you are looking at. Some are very bulky and will not fit well under clothes. We use Tots Bots Bamboozle fitted diapers at night with our daughter. These do get bulky once you put a wool cover over them. They do fit under my daughter pj's though still. I was using AIOs, but I have found that pocket diapers are much better and we use bumGenius and Baby Kangas pocket diapers for daytime use. http://www.bummis.com/en/Products/covers/Bamboozle.html http://sckoon.com/er-n69a000.html http://www.cottonbabies.com/product_info.php?cPath=98&products_id=1279 http://www.jamtots.com/Baby-Kangas-One-Size-Pouch-Diaper-C502.aspx The trimmest AIO we ever used was Swaddlebees. The problem was they were not absorbent enough for our daughter, who is a heavy wetter. http://swaddlebees.com/products/aio?PHPSESSID=882e7f52bd1cf973e1d621fce0733beb Pocket diapers really are much better than AIOs. You can choose the absorbent material you put in the diaper. Hemp is much more absorbent than cotton and much trimmer. Also, because the absorbent material is separate for washing with pocket diapers they get much cleaner and dry a lot faster. All of our pocket diapers fit under regular clothes, even if we put an extra stuffer in them.
