What kind of diapers and formula do you recommend?
What kind of diapers and formula do you recommend, that isn't too terribly expensive? Or is the most expensive really the best way to go?

- Formula you're going to have to figure out on your own. Every baby is different, and every baby prefers different types. My girl went through 3 different types of formula before we settled on a lactose-free kind from Similac. You're just going to have to do trial-and-error on that one. Diaper wise...if you have the money to spend on the expensive brands, go for it. I have personally used Parent's Choice from Walmart and they work just fine. It all depends on your income level and what works with your baby.
- Huggies diapers are the best.
- Huggies diapers are great. You can buy them in bulk and they are not too expensive. I use nestlee goodstart and my baby has not had a problem digesting it, it is also not too expensive.
- I use Huggies for my child. Costco carries them fairly decently priced. I liked Pampers, but they were too expensive. I use Similac for my son. He likes it. My sister in law and my brother used Costco brand formula on their 2 kids and it seemed to work for them.
- I like LUV's for my five month old, but I spent the extra money and bought swaddlers for the first couple of months. I would buy the store brand formula, they all have mostly the same ingredients and have to be approved, but mine drinks Enfamil AR (thickened formula) and Enfamil is the only company that makes it. I have also heard white cloud diapers are good and plan on trying them. PS Start signing up on formula makers websites (Similac, Enfamil, Goodstart) and they will send you samples so you can figure out which one works well. Also, the hospital will probably give you one to use and you are likely to continue it. At my hospital it was Similac.
- I used Heinz Nurture from birth and my baby was fine with it. It's the cheapest and it is easy to make. Huggies are def. the best nappies but Aldi (if they are available in your area) are also good and cheaper.
- Diapers and forumla are things that are different for every baby. Your babies body shape will dictate what brand diaper you need. I used Huggies the first few months of my daughter's life, but they leaked a lot, so I switched to Target brand. They work great for us. Formula is the same way. Find one your baby likes.
- i use pampers and enfamil lipil. i have tried huggies, luvs, parents choice, target brand, and kirkland(costco), but pampers are my fav. i have used enfamil lipil since she was born, along with pumping. if your looking for a bulky diaper i would go with huggies or the kirkland brand from costco. i love how they dont feel like plastic and absorbe a lot of baby pee. however they run a little small. if you are looking for a cheaper, thinner diaper i would choose target brand or parents choice over luvs. luvs leaked super bad on my baby. my favorite is pampers swaddlers though. they will feel moist if you wait to long between changes but they wont leak. they feel like soft tissue or fabric and are super soft. they are expensive though, at times the same or more expensive than huggies. i like target brand though for the cheaper diapers. i use target brand wipes. my favorites are target and kirkland wipes, but target is cheaper.
- The cheapest thing to feed the baby is BREAST MILK. As far as the diapers go, I only buy the super expensive kind for the "newborn" size because it already has a notch out for the umbilical cord for the baby. I only buy one package because it seems that they are grown out of them before you know it and no longer need them. After that I go with the cheapest brand.."I" was interested in cloth diapers, but hubby wasn't, and after comparing the two you would be paying about the same amount after getting the diaper and then washing them over and over again, so I didn't think that there would be a saving there.
- The most expensive has no advantage. Some of the cheapest diapers are cloth and I used them. For cheap disposable diapers Kirkland brand at Costco is a huge crate, a good price and they are identical to huggies. For feeding baby, breastmilk is free. If you aren't going to breastfeed, your choice of formula is a matter of preference. Generic store brands are just as good as the pricy advertised brands. you are just not payign extra for their advertising budget. Formula is highly regulated, and Parents Choice from Walmart is no worse than Enfamil etc. .
- Like most would say formula depends on your baby. Mine likes 2 types of formula, Similac Advance with Iron and Goodstart Supreme with Iron. Or if you really want cheap cheap try breastfeeding. As for diapers, basically they're all the same except some are thicker, some are bulkier and some are slimmer. If you want good but cheap diapers try store brands or huggies, but if you want cheaper still try cloth diapers.
- I used Kirkland formula for my son and he did great with it. It's identical to Similac advance and much less expensive. For diapers i never recommend store brand or cheap ones because I've always found they leak horribly. I use Huggies Natural Supreme with my son because they actually have the shape for going around little tooshies and legs properly instead of being more rectangular like other brands. They were the only ones that worked for him and are the closest in disposable I've found to resembling cloth in feel. They aren't really cheap, but they aren't top line either- middle would be my guess. Check with your local stores because sometimes they have baby clubs where you can get coupons for big discounts on stuff like this. Also if you sign up at Similac new arrivals club you'll get coupons for formula and lots of freebies. Costco and similar warehouse clubs are also good places to find formula (Kirklands is the Costco brand) and diapers at better prices for bigger cases than what you'd get other places.
