not the most important question..but curious bout diaper bags?
so i really want to just use a cute, over sized handbag for a diaper bag but im not sure thats too realistic! what type of diaper bag do you all have? does it really have to be that big? i hate the thought of carrying around two bags, a purse and a diaper bag so i was thinking of just putting my wallet and stuff in the diaper bag but cant really find a cute one! lol what do you all do?

- If your just going to the grocery store you can carry a larger handbag, enough for a couple of diapers, a bottle , favorite toy. You really only need a really big bag on long trips.
- I got a regular oversized purse and used it as a diaper bag. Its great really. Find one that has lots of compartments and can zip. No need to buy a 'diaper' bag, you can make anything into one.
- I'm a purse fiend... so therefore I got a bunch of diaper bags. I don't use all the pockets... I'm more of a digger by nature, so the only advantage diaper bags have over big purses are the pockets. Just depends on how you like things. Target has a bunch of cute official diaper bags that look more like purses as well as plain ol bigger purses. Also, I got some cute bags from ebay. I suggest checking there too!
- I bought a really cute diaper bag from Target. i get compliments all the time on it. I use the one compartment for my wallet, phone, keys etc. then it has three additional compartments that I use for my daughter.
- i have 2 diaper bag , one is couch diaper bag i just think i must have something that cute and fancy for going to party or special occasion , the other one is boogaboo bag i like this for everyday go because i can carry them in back so easier for me to get around when carrying the stroller from subway stairway and because i used boogaboo stroller i can just put my diaper bag in that stroller so i dont need carry heavy bag and this bag have purpose in front from carry your milk still hot or cold like a thermos . im never bring 2 bag i just put my wallet , key in diaper bag , and two of them is big bag because i always cary a lot of stuff like pamper, wipe, oil, body lotion , extra clothes , milk , and botlle , my wallet , key ,ext.
- in this day and age thats the way to go an oversized pocketbook! i have a set of twins and thats what i use.they make baby bags to small now and your right who wants to carry to bags!
- funny thing is we bought a diaper bag that now only use for over night stays at grandmas and insted use an over sized hand bag for the same reason i hated carrying two bags
- Space is key for diaper bags, so bigger is usually better. I have a Kate Spade diaper bag...it's stylish and incredibly practical. I almost never carry my real purse when I carry the diaper bag; I just clip my wallet and keys onto one of the straps.
- honestly my son's ddiaper bag was mostly filled with my junk and half of it was stuff i never needed with me- i breastfeed so i didnt need that much stuff- a couple of diaperrs, a handful of wipes, now i needs snacks and he carries his sippy cup
- I am a purse junkie, so when I went into the Coach store in my city and the clerk pointed to a Coach diaper bag, I had to have it. Although what I spent on that bag could have bought me diapers and formula for six month, I love it. Plus, I can carry my wallet and checkbook and laptop in too!
- I agree with the first answer. I recently bought one of those over sized bags at Payless for around $15. It looks like a beach bag- its near all the sandals on the wall. There are 2 pockets on the outside, on the sides, which are perfect for holding bottles and cups. I can comfortably fit 3 diapers, a ziploc baggie of wipes, a change of clothes for my son, my lotion (not the small travel sizes! Ahava mud lotion is what its called), a small bottle of Gerber juice (4oz size), and all of my stuff- wallet, papers, gum, junk lol. If you go to Walmart, you can buy a 3 compartment formula holder. Its plastic and has 3 sections so that you can put just enough formula in there for 3 bottles. I found that each compartment holds about 6oz worth- 3 scoops. The bag itself is nice to use as just a purse as well- which is what i bought it for but found that it works just as well for a diaper bag too. I can also put some snacks in there for my son as well with plenty of room to spare!
- I'm not a purse person. I have my college ID holder that still works great for my credit card, my debit card, license, and cash. If it doesn't fit into my pockt, it goes into the front pocket of the diaper bag. I recieved a diaper bag as a gift and my mom got one free and second hand. They're both big. However, the Enfamil one I received at the hospital is very sufficient, excpet for when the dirty diaper bag (we use cloth) gets too full for it. I use one side pocket for my water bottle and the other for her church toys (the quieter ones that won't rattle or rattle too loudly) and the hand sanitizer. the back pocket works great for a couple of magazines and a book, while the front pocket works for things I don't want to lose. My SIL has a rather large purse that is almost as big as my diaper bag, or at least it seems that way. I don't know why a single 22-y-o needs a purse that is about the size of my overnight travel bag, but that's just me. I have looked at larger purses, but I don't "need" it especially since I have things that work just fine. (I have a wallet style purse and a smaller one that would work if I wanted a purse.) I hope this has been of some help.
- Eddie Bauer weekender bag. It is very large!
- one of the jokes about motherhood is that you start buying purses for their ability to double as a diaper bag, as opposed to how fashionable they are. i have either carried a purse big enough to carry a bottle and a few diapers/wipes... or a diaper bag that didnt really look like a diaper bag, with a small purse inside it that carried my things. that way if i was going somewhere alone i just pulled out my little purse, and i didnt have to carry 2 bags if i was out with the kids. its all a matter of what works for you. http://www.target.com/Red-Black-Balmoral-Diaper-Bag/dp/B000AVK71G/sr=1-12/qid=1209777463/ref=sr_1_12/601-2023177-5724927?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Adiaper%20bags&page=1 thats a link for a cute target bag, that could double as a mommy purse.
- I got a bag from CAA. It has 3 compartments. One large one that I put all the baby's stuff in, a smaller one that I put my wallet and such in and the third is a cooler compartment. I keep any medicine I might need for the baby and if I bring a bottle somewhere, this compartment keeps it cool.
- i just got a kapoochi bag that hangs over the pram and i can fit my entire handbag in there, you think you dont wan anything big, but one episode when the nappy leaks up their back and you need an extra nappy, wipes sudocreme and a change of clothes, and if your lucky u might be able to make it out the door without having to change the clothes again! lol I take two pairs of clothes, three nappies, baby wipes, facewashers, for spit up, and some milk... so good luck!
