what is my first step in finding an over seas manufacturer of diaper bags?

- I would go to a search engine like google, and type in, "over seas manufacturer of diaper bags" -- see what your search turns up. If that does not work, just try "diaper bag manufacturer". Good Luck. I do have to say that I am quite curious as to why you are looking for an overseas manufacturer!
- Don't really understand ur question. R u looking for good diaper bags? go to babies r us website, even check out walmart, target, k-mart websites. Just add .com to the names above.
- Try http://www.alibaba.com It's pretty much a source for finding suppliers of pretty much everything, especially overseas suppliers and manufacturers.
- I would suggest trying to find a DOMESTIC manufacterer of diaper bags. There are many companies out there, and supporting home grown business is always better economically. I assume you are wanting them cheap to set up a store or something. Domestic is so much better for so many reasons. It is also easier for you to set up your business if you aren't worried about import licenses, duty fees, frieght shipments that take 6 or more months to arrive etc. Seriously, invest in a local market. There are tons of WAHM (work at home moms) who are making incredible products. Many of them wholesale. So then you would be supporting domestic economic growth, helping a mother stay home with her children AND you'd be getting an excellent product for an excellent price, with the least amount of hassle. When importing you have to consider the added expenses, the language barriers, the duty fees, those handling your shipments etc. There is a lot that can happen and a lot that can go wrong with dealing with overseas. If the company makes a crappy product often you have no recourse against them because they are foreign. Sorry, but I just can't support buying imports unless it is absolutely necessary. For my business some of my items are imports, but by far the best ones are domestic and those are the ones I search for most. When they aren't domestic then I look for NAFTA countries, and on down the list with China being at the very bottom. I do not like their business practices so whenever possible I avoid them. I hope you are able to find what you are looking for LOCALLY :)
