whats the most efficient and cheapest way to wash AIO cloth diapers?
we are planning on using cloth diapers but the AIO's we got from Bum genius have a very tedious way of washing them. is there any other way besides: soak, rinse, wash, wash, dry. that seems like a lot of extra work and it would raise our water bill quite a bit.

- The cost you might as well use the dispoabble diapers. It is just as cheap and it's better . Would you really want to carry around a poopy diaper around a store to wash it later
- I used cloth diapers with both my kids. I did not soak them and only rinsed if they were poopy. It's alot cheaper and when they are wet they know it and makes it easier to potty train. Too many people I have know rely on disposable diapers so they don't have to change their babies often and that is just unsanitary, nasty, unhealthy and gross beyond words.
- I used cloth diapers when my kids were babies cuz disposables were too expensive. I kept a diaper pail in the bathroom and in the kids room. Rinse the diaper in the toilet and drop it into the diaper pail. On laundry day, wash in hot water with detergent and bleach. I didn't find any reason to soak or double rinse. The boys had very few diaper rashes and I saved a bundle. Tip: always carry at least 2 plastic bags with you so you can double-bag the dirty ones when you're out and about. Also carry extra plastic pants. I also was lucky enough to have diaper service for 6 months as a gift from my grandma. Just had to rinse in the toilet, dump into the pail, and put the pail on the porch once a week. Fresh ones were delivered when they picked up the yucky ones.
- no dunking is necessary NO bleach! i personally do not have AIOs...but i do have some fitted hemp diapers.....i never dunk or soak them first.....i just freakin wash 'em i let the washer go thru it's longest cycle....then i put the washer back to the last rinse with some vinegar and the washer finish out the final rinse cyle again and spin i put an extra spin cyle to help get them extra spun out....that cuts drying time in half and my diapers come out just fine and clean without all the extra work and worries try that and good luck oh and i have been cloth diapering for over 3 months using NO sposies and i have not seen our water bill go up..in fact in went down a couple dollars....i don't know why but it did
