Where is the best place to get cloth diapers?
I've been looking online but everything seems really expensive. $10-$20 just for one. I saw other questions asked about how many should you buy and they said about 25 to 30. Also, I've seen many different types of cloth diapers. Which ones have worked the best for you and why?

- My cousin used cloth diapers at first. She bought hers off of ebay, and even there, they were very expensive. She finally gave in to the disposable diaper craze after her sitter freaked out on her, though... lol.
- www.thanksmama.com has the best deals I think. And I did 4 months of research before I ordered! www.diaperpin.com has great reviews and articles on cloth diapering. I spent a week visiting my cousin while I was home in the states and she was using Kissaluvs contours on her 6 month old boy. They were super easy to use and a lot less expensive than other kinds so that's what I ended up ordering. She said it was best to have 30-35 so that you only had to do laundry every 2-3 days. http://www.thanksmama.com/product_p/dpk-024.htm I like Thanks Mama because you get free shipping and a free gift with your order. For instance I ordered 40 diapers and got 4 free prorap diaper covers. You also need 6-8 diaper covers, Snappis or diaper pins, doublers and maybe some rice paper liners. (They do make clean up easier.) http://www.thanksmama.com/Baby_Flushable_Liners_Pack_of_200_p/imv-017.htm http://www.thanksmama.com/Snappi_Diaper_Fastener_p/snp-001.htm http://www.thanksmama.com/Kissaluvs_Super_Soaker_Doublers_p/kis-004.htm Hope this helps!
- I don't have my baby yet so I can't tell you how it has turned out. But I have been doing a lot of research, so here's briefly what I have found out. There is a website at http://www.diaperpin.com that gives reviews of nearly every manufacturer, every individual product, and every company/store that sells those products. It has lots of links so it's easier to price-compare. The most expensive thing is the All-in-One diapers. It's just exactly like a disposable except that when you take if off, you wash it. But you do have to wash the whole thing, every time. So yes, you need about 30 of them, and they are the most expensive. There are some that come in sizes and there are some that "grow" with the baby by using a snap systems. Some people are not having very good luck with them holding up, though, not lasting through an entire baby. Then there are pocket diapers. They come in sizes, so you have to buy multiple sizes. And again, you have to wash the whole diaper every time. These have a liner or insert you put in, so you can make it thicker or thinner as you need it. You have to take the liner out and wash it separately every time, and you have to re-stuff them every time. So again, you have to buy a lot of them. They are cheaper than the all-in-ones. What I am going to try is using diaper covers. You buy the prefolded diapers. Instead of buying the super old-fashioned flat sheets diapers (that are commonly used as burp cloths), you buy the prefolds so you don't have to do origami to get it on the baby. You lay a prefold inside the diaper cover, then put the cover on the baby. You do not have to wash the cover every time. You can rinse or wipe it off and let it air out a bit and use it again. So you don't have to buy nearly as many. Most people are recommending around 6. Plus they are cheaper. You only wash the prefold every time, and they are way cheaper than buying anything else. You can buy several dozen of them for little cash. Prefolds will hold up about forever being washed, too. So I am going to buy a few different brands of covers and see which ones I like, and then buy that brand. Hope that helps you a little!
