Diapers Q&A

how much can i make working at home making cloth diapers?

I want to be a "work at home mom", and i have seen a few companies that let you purchase a license to make their brand of cloth diapers to sell. does anyone else do this? is it worth it?

  1. I don't know aany parents who would use cloth diapers nowadays. Everyone wants to use the convenient disposable ones.
  2. if its the same as putting eyes on bears, its like 5cents per item
  3. about $400
  4. nothing whos really gonna pay you to make a diper your ganna have to wash
  5. Probably wouldn't be worth your time. People really like disposable diapers and they already sell cloth ones at WalMart.
  6. Not many use cloth diapers anymore. Lot's of childcare centers will only except disposable diaper because of sanitary reasons. So... most moms need to work and a childcare facility is where they go. Take a pole... Ask the question "what do you prefer...cloth or disposable diapers?" If cloth diapers scored the highest, then go for it. If not, don't waste your time and money. good luck!
  7. Peanuts probably.
  8. Gosh, horrible answers you're getting. I honestly don't know how much money you can make, but it does sound like a good idea. Lots of people are using cloth diapers, actually, the number of moms grow each day. I started with disposables, but now I use both of them (when we're out). Good luck with whatever you do :)
  9. I'm not sure how much you would make, but it's always worth a shot. More moms than you think are opting for cloth diapers as opposed to sposies. I use both for my son, but use cloth more. I also plan on using cloth for the next baby my husband and I have. Good luck.
  10. What brands of diapers were you thinking of making? I would research them and see how popular they are and if they have good reviews (looking at the Diaperpin should give you an idea). Also, look into the costs of the materials they are made of vs their average selling price per diaper. Also, I would look into a few baby boutiques in your area to see if they would be willing to stock the diapers you are making. You should also have a website to sell from. And it would be a good idea to also offer a consulting service where you bring the product to people's homes to show and sell them. As with any small home business it will only be as successful as you make it! It will definitely be lots of work, but it could be a great business.
  11. I make baby slings and pouches for carrying baby. I charge about $40/ sling, and the materials cost me in the $20/sling range, plus my time. It takes about an hour and a half to make a sling, and they are really popular. You can sell them on the internet, or through local boutiques.
  12. I actually sell a company's cloth diapers-- I don't need to make them, I can actually make my own products and sell them on the website they gave me. It's littlemonkeybuns.com-- the company is named eco-bam. Let me know if you would like to know more-- its a really nice job, and you don't have to pay for anything to work for them! The best part.. I spend tons of time with my little monkey :) Email me at gabrialjerome78@gmail.com
