Diapers Q&A

What is your favorite method for folding cloth diapers?

I'm just starting to use pre-fold diapers- the "regular" rectangular ones. I've tried the "newspaper" fold and the "jellyroll" fold, but I am looking for some more ideas on what other folks might be using. I'm writing about cloth diapers for this blog http://www.babykicks.com/blog/ and I have some images on the "newspaper" fold here: http://www.babykicks.com/blog/?p=13

  2. I always folded the kite fold. Worked fine for me.
  3. I use the trifold. It's the easiest. I use UCPF and find that it's so great and not inconvenient at all, even though I work full time. I usually have the diapers all set in the covers beforehand though, so that makes it a bit easier. I'm also a beginner and have had no problems either. The newspaper fold doesn't look that different from the trifold. I know some people do the twist because it's easier, but I don't think it's convenient for little boys. Just google "how to fold a cloth diaper" and you'll come up with many different folds. That's how I learned, since no one nears me uses cloth.
  4. When we used pre-folds we used the Reverse Angel fold. Here is a site with step by step picture directions: http://www.punkinbutt.com/article_info.php?articles_id=7 (It is the 2nd fold) I liked that this fold dealt with the excess fabric in the front to avoid so much bulkiness. My baby has a really short rise and thin waist so this was the best fold for her.
