Diapers Q&A

how much in food and diapers do you spend on your 6 month baby?

How much money do you spend each month on food and diapers for your 6 month baby? Thanks for all the answers. I am planning on feeding her real food (EXTREMELY soft food mind you) and using disposable diapers

  1. i spent about 50 dollars- 2 pkgs of diapers and i went through about 50 jars of food...
  2. about 15 dollars a day..
  3. That's going to wary widely depending on the type of food the baby eats; formula only, baby food, or smooshed up table food. And also if they wet ALOT. $200 may be a fair easy estimate.
  4. well lets see when my son was 6 months old (which was 10 months ago..) lets see we'd buy $6.82 diapers form wal-mart and lets see he is on similac alimentum which is 26.95 a can so average a month that would be $344.00
  5. When my daughter was 6 months I stopped using cloth was using disposable nappies. I would say that I spent about $40 on nappies a month. And as for food I made my own food, so it's a bit hard to tell how much i was spending because we ate the veggies too.
  6. Also, there's more to taking care of a baby than diapers and food. What about doctor bills and clothing? What about bottles? What about daycare?
  7. we used cloth diapers and a blender for making baby food cheap
  8. That is a very hard question to answer. A baby uses pampers very often. The cost depends on what brand you use. It could be anywhere from $100 or $200 monthly. As far as food, formula is expensive. The cost depends on the amount of formula your child consumes. And around 6 months I would be giving them rice cereal with the formula. So I would say anywhere from $200-350 monthly in total.. BABIES ARE EXPENSIVE
  9. When my daughter was 6 months old, diapering expenses consisted of laundry soap, electricity, water, and gas to wash & dry the cloth diapers. Food costs were negligible as she was breastfed and only eating very small amounts of 'real' food rather than baby food.
