Diapers Q&A

Publix diapers made by Huggies?

A friend told me that a manager at Publix said their store brand diapers are made from Huggies brand. Do you think its true and if you have used both brands are the comparable?

  1. i don't doubt it. all generic brands are probably made by a name brand. in fact i read on the package that luvs and pampers are made by the same company. this way they all make more money! just because they are made from the same company does not mean they are the same diapers though (my kids have not been able to use any but luvs, and i have tried them all)
  2. Pampers makes Walmart or Target's dipes, so I don't doubt it. Walmarts generic dipes are ok(Parent's choice), Target's are allright, too, but every generic I have ever pruchaced at a grocery store suck...they don't have the best materials and don't have as much of the absorbant stuff in them. I find them to be a waste of $$.
  3. The package will say who the manufacture is. Store brand diapers are actuall very differant then name brands. I tried every single diaper, and the differances are odd. I have found that name brands are better at moving with baby, beacuse the shell is better constructed and the sides are generally streachier. The store brands use diff material in the core which actually makes the more absorbant. It really is odd, but I use Pampers Cruisers durring the day when my son is very active, and the store brand at night when it does not need to streach, but to absorb. So, they could be made by the same manufacturer, but they are very diff. diapers. Just check the info on the label.
