Would you use cloth diapers on your baby?
Its better for the environment, the health of your baby, and it doesn't have all those chemicals that are in disposables. Also its less bulky so your baby can move easer.

- imagine the leaks of diarrhea, and pee pee... Ill stick to disposable...
- I do use cloth diapers on my baby boy. I use the old fashioned prefold type, with pins and plastic pants. They are definately more comfortable...and they do not leak in comparison with disposables. Plus I don't end up wiping off those nasty little gel balls that collect on my baby's skin from the disposables. I hate those things...plus I was reading that the inside of disposables are very toxic if ingested. Ick...no way will I put another disposable on my child...let alone waste the money!
- I have actually recently switched to cloth, and am very happy with them.
- i would not use cloth--i love the disposable--no leaks or i dont have to worry about cleaning the cloth diapers after a messy one my daughter makes. i am taking advantage of 2008, not the olden days where cloth diapers were a must
- Yes I do. Much cheaper, and better for the enviroment and I think the nicest sight you will see is a line full of them blowing in the wind.
- you bring good point but although i agree with your statements.. its crazy how many diapers are put in land fills daily! It really is sick to think about.. but not all babies can wear cloth diapers.. cloth diapers hold bacteria more than disposable and for children with sensitive skin it just isn't the best option health wise. My twins suffered bad rashes for awhile. despite all our efforts not much helped until we seen a dermo who actually told us that one of the worst thing i could do for my daughters skin was cloth diapers.. so although they may not have chemicals.. it is not always an option for every child.. i wanted to add to those that are all about cloth diapers and disposable diaper are "bad".. what do you do for tampons and pads? they have alternatives to those also.. just food for thought
- I use both, primarily cloth now that she is bigger. I have had way more leaks of poo with the disposables. They ride up more. I actually haven't had any leaks with her bumgenius or the cloth/diaper cover yet. She's 9 weeks.
- Absolutely...today's cloth diapers are not like the cloth our parents and grandparents used. There are so many great options out there and they are not only better for the environment, they are better on your pockebook too since they can be reused on multiple children and then re-sold at great discounted rates!
- i do use cloth diapers on my baby - since home from the hospital - it is all of the above, plus WAY more cost effective in other ways as well - i have discovered that you need to buy pants a lot bigger than the age on the tag - my 4 month old can wear 12 mos great, and i just buy toddler shorts - which is another cost saving measure with cloth- i can use them again when she is potty trained i also just buy onesies a lot bigger than required (it is impossible to find baby t's where i live - serge off the bottom part and use them as shirts - i can use them a lot longer, and i do the same with pajamas - and use them with leggings (old sweatshirt sleeves) but i am not sure what you mean by less bulky.....cloth diaper butt while cute is a larger than disposables - but there legs are more free - i also use the prefolds tho, so that could make a difference
