How do i make homemade diaper for my female dog in heat.?

1. Get a newborn baby disposable baby diaper,cut a hole out for tail and fasten it with the tape,makes a great protector,or you can purchase dog diapers at this site. http://www.revivalanimal.com
2. I do not suggest that you put a diaper on the dog, because she will just rip it off like all dogs. Also, if you are not a breeder please do not breed your dog! Spay please!
3. i have taken old twin size sheets and folded them around her and used safety pins. i have also went and bought a pack of lg. pullups for kids.
4. BUY A COMMERCIAL ONE WITH DISPOSABLE INSERTS! I went through homemade crap before breaking down and buying one, and I wished I'd have done it sooner. I used some old, full-butt underwear I had, cut a hole for the tail, cut the sides and tied them up tighter, and put a feminine napkin pad in it to soak up the juice. But, it didn't fit right and she'd pull it off, or it would shift and my couch or carpet would end up the victim of my laziness. Unless she's a good breeder dog, get her spayed. We never had our dog spayed and she ended up getting pyometra. A life threatening infection in her uterus. Within a few days she stopped eating, was leaking infection ALL OVER THE PLACE, urinating EVERYWHERE, all the time, it was horrible. Spaying was the only real solution, but because of the high risk from the infection, it was like $350 to have it done. The day she went to the vet I had my house douched out because it was so NASTY. Anyway, I don't want that to have to happen to anyone else.
5. I'm not a dog breeder but years ago I was enjoying showing my Irish Setter ... you cannot spay or neuter your dog if you wish to show it at Kennel Club shows in the UK ... she was called Boozy & when she was in heat was, oh how to put this tastefully ... extremely messy. I put a pair of my old knickers on her, with a hole for the tail, complete with a stick on sanitary towel pad, for when she was in the house. I know that it looked stupid but it did save the sofa from staining ... and yes, I know, I probably should not have let her on the sofa ... but ... And it also stopped the drips onto the carpet.
