Diapers Q&A

Do you personalize a diaper bag with the baby's name or with mom's name?

  1. I would do it with the baby's name, but that's just me.
  2. BABY NAME
  3. I keep an info card inside my diaper bag with my name and contact info just in case I leave it some where on accident if that is what you mean by personalizing.
  4. I think you could go either way, but I think it would be cute to do it with the baby's name. After all, it IS kind of a bag for them...lol!
  5. Hmm, never heard of doing that, but it sounds like a nice idea..and I would definatly put baby's name though :)
  6. If you use mom's name, you can use the same bag for any children you may have in the future, or if it's a nice bag, you might be able to transition it into a carry on or a bag for yourself. Baby's name is more traditional, it could go either way.
  7. You shouldn't really put a child's name on their bag. I know in this case, it's just a baby, but who knows how long the bag may be used. It invites danger when a stranger can see what your child's name is. The child can be lured away if they think, "Hey, this person knows my name!".
  8. I just her last name!
  9. I put my daughters name, Emma, on my diaper bag because it seems like thats something that would be special years later. Plus, when you see someone in the park, you dont want them to mistake you for the baby!
  10. Personally in this day and age I wouldn't personalize the bag with anyones name. I would have thought however that if you wanted to it would be babys name. The only reason I wouldn't is that as your child gets a little bigger this would give any predator the upper hand in knowing your childs name. When my eldest started school, many moons ago now, I decorated her school bag with her name in glitter to make it her very own special bag, then after meeting some other mums in the school grounds and chatting to them about strangers etc I quickly went out and bought yet another bag and put her name INSIDE the bag. It is definately a reflection of the world we live in today. Hope this helps :o)
  11. Usually, it is done with baby's name. But, personally, I don;t do it either way. I recomend not even starting in teh habit of having your child's name displayed for strangers to see. It is dangerous when they are older.
  12. Our diaper bag has our family name embroidered on it. That way it's useful for more than one child, and after we outgrow the need for a diaper bag it can be repurposed.
  13. Baby name
  14. babys name
  15. At the church nursery, I often see the bags embroidered with the babies initials. Occasionally I see simply the first name. I like it when they have the tags attached, so that I can see contact info, or allergies, but I understand why this would make some parents uncomfortable. Honestly, having the last name on there would seem like the most sensible route, but I have never seen it (worked in preschool ministries for 2 yrs now), and its not technically "personalized" by definition. I think if you really wanted to "personalize" it for just the baby, then getting the initials (first, middle, last) is also a great route to go.
