is it just me, or do huggies diapers suck???

every time i use huggies, it seems my newborn is soaked with her own pee. we have had so many accidents. im switching to either pampers or luvs. anyone have the same problem as me?

1. Yes I did, I switched to LuVs and haven't had a prob since.

3. Yes, Huggies are the worst! I've tried some of the cheap brands and they worked better. We stayed with Pampers since they didn't leak as much.
4. we have never used anything besides pampers. we have never had any issues. i had heard from other people prior to my son being born that huggies suck so we never tried them. they have the swaddlers for the smaller babies which are great and then the cruisers for older babies. i would never change to anything else.
5. I agree!!! I found the same thing with Huggies. Iimmediately went to Pampers and they fit very snug. I have always used them ever since. By the way, Luvs leak worse than Huggies. Go to Pampers, but not the Cruisers use the ones that are called Baby Dry. Some Cruisers ones stick to baby's butt and cause rash. Pampers Baby Dry dont stick and fit perfectly.
6. YES they do suck! I used them once and my baby's pee ran down his leg!! I use Pampers now and have had no problems!
7. That is exactly why I don't use Huggies! I have tried them on all 3 of mine and the same thing happened. I have switched to the more pricier Brand (Pampers Cuisers) and have had nothing but happiness with them. Definitely worth the few extra bucks!
8. Huggies suck suck suck!!!!! And gave my newborn baby a horrible diaper rash because he would be sitting in pee even though I had just changed his diaper and even though we changed him frequently. We had to go to the doctor and get ointmen because it was so bad. Pampers Swaddlers are the best diapers ever...the hospital gave us some when we came home and I can kick myself for ever buying Huggies.
9. i did with the younger ones, but once you get past the size 2 they seem to work great. i did like luvs but they always seem to give my baby diaper rash
10. I use cloth and on occasion use Seventh Generation diapers, and I have no problem with either. When my son was born we used Huggies Preemie and they worked well for us. They had Pampers at the hospital and they smell AWFUL. I prefer cloth over all, just my opinion :] But if I HAD to choose a disposable it would definitely be Seventh Generation.
11. I had the same problem. I switched to pampers. I love them and wouldn't use any other kind. They have good stretch.

13. It definitely depends on the kid. Huggies sucked with the first so we switched to White Cloud and it was wonderful. White Cloud sucked with the second so we use Luvs or Huggies. You never know.

15. Huggies aren't too bad. They seem to work OK for my daughter. Don't get Luvs!!!! They are awful!! They leak so bad and don't hold poop for ... well... poop! Pampers are my first choice when it comes to diapers. They are soft and seem to minimize leaks.
16. Huggies are the best in my opinion. Maybe they are made differently here in Australia? The never leak for me. Everyone that I know would agree that they are the best too.
17. I used Huggies with all 3 of my children and had no problems. I was given a gift of Pampers with my first child, and they leaked a lot, so I never purchased them. I've heard good and bad about both brands, so I think it really has to do with each child and fit. I don't think either brand "sucks"; just that neither can fit EVERY shape of baby. :) Go with whichever one works for you.
18. Yes, they do suck. Disposable diapers suck, period. If you are using a good cloth diaper with a good cover you will not have so many leaks. Plus your daughters bum will be so much happier. Consider seventh generation or G-Diapers. Whole foods makes a generic brand of unbleached, chemical free diapers that are similar to seventh generation.

I love Pampers.....tried a bunch of store brand ones and huggies and Pampers is BY FAR my favorite........I don't think they are any pricier than the others for what they are worth!!!PLus my baby girl has never had diaper rash and has never had a leak with the Pampers swaddlers! (I tried Pampers baby dry and they aren't my favorite.....gonna use the swaddlers until they don't make her size anymore)

21. I totally agree! And everyone I've ever known who uses them has had issues with leaky diapers as well...which makes me wonder who is it that keeps buying them?

I tryed Huggies, Luvs and even Target brand, i have always LOVED Pampers, but sometimes when i go to Target, they dont have the size i need, so i end up saying forget it and getting a different brand, but i will never use anything other the Pampers for my little girl they work the best. Every baby is different you need to find the best for your child. Good luck

24. lol so true i went through the samething people tell me all the time why dont u buy huggies i guess it works for their babies i dont know how. but pampers are the best.

26. We agree! My husband and I think Huggies SUCK SUCK SUCK!!!!!! We got a package of Huggies with our first son for our baby shower and EVERY diaper leaked (with either pee or poop). At first we thought we just didn't have them on right, but nope...... We also have tried Huggies with our youngest (got one from the Dr. office) and they leaked on him too! I was talking to my Mother-in-law and she hated Huggies for her two children and my other Mother-in-law didn't use them on my husband or his brother. We use LUVS with both our boys! We have NEVER EVER had any problems using LUVS and the plus side, they are cheaper also!!!
