  1. gdiapers! with standard cloth prefolds, with gdiapers you can get away with about 6 pants and 24 prefolds. check out gdiapers.com
  2. I would suggest a diaper service if you have one near you. They usually provide everything. You don't have to worry about washing them or about buying new diapers and selling the old too-small ones when your baby gets bigger. Here's a list: http://www.diapernet.org/locate.htm There are probably more around than that, so don't assume your area doesn't have one if it's not on that list.
  3. It's really a matter of opinion. By natural do you mean organic and no man-made materials? Most of the convenient diapers (like pockets and all in ones) have microfleece which is polyester and PUL which certainly isn't natural. If you want all-natural diapers that are easier than prefolds look into wool in ones or wool in twos, and also organic cotton fitted or contour diapers. I like Kissaluvs and I *think* they make unbleached ones but I don't know if they're actually organic. Also check out these forums! http://www.diaperswappers.com http://www.diapertraders.com
  4. For a newborn? I would definately go with prefolds, and covers. They outgrow diapers SO fast.Do a search on Cloth Diapers 101.There is fitteds, and covers. They are very trusty, because covers do NOT get wet. Than you have your pocket diapers.Every baby is different. If I had a newborn again,i'd stack up with some Nice GoodMamma diapers(they are organic bamboo velour) and covers. They are one size, and pricey, yet they last from newborn to toddler.:) AND they are so squisy and soft. Back to pocket diapers.I prefer one size, however BumGenius is not my favorite pocket diaper.I like Happy Heineys One sizers, but they are a tad bulkier.Than you have the different sizes, like FUZZI BUNZ which work wonderful. There is a WAHM who makes similar diapers Huggabunz that are half the cost almost. I'd stay FAR away from hidden Pul.you'll see it,and they have a tendancy to wick, leak you name it.Get pul print,or Pul outters in ALL pockets or covers. there is your AI2,which is also very convinient. However,I prefer the prefolds over any of that. Ck out www.hyenacart.com www.diaperswappers.com www.diapertraders.com and www.cafemom.com and search 'cloth diapers":) GOOD LUCK TO YOU and congrats!
  5. happy heinys pocket diapees in solid colours is what i wear in xxl size. they are great, and have very comfy fleece. they cost 20 bucks each. i've never had a leak. get some fabric from the store to use as inserts, instead of getting their inserts though, it's way cheaper!
  6. I use NapNappy products. I have 16 Flannel diapers, 4 terry diapers, 20 terry inserts, 5 wool inserts and 4 wool wraps. I wash them every second day, but this amount is enough for every third day washing. For daytime, I often use just flannel diapers - they are really thin and breathable, my baby loves them! Also, I see when my baby is wet and can change him asap, because we love to stay dry :) For nighttime or long walks, I use a NapNappy Terry diaper, a terry insert or two, a wool insert and a wool wrap - never had a leak! I do not use any PUL covers because they are not natural, and liners - I do not think they are necessary.
