Diapers Q&A

Goodnites/Pullups--Diapers?? What is your opinion, are they the same?

This is just a friendly question that I have to ask, what is your opinion on goodnites/pullup and diapers? Are they the same thing or do you think they are different? My opinion is they are all diapers. The all have the same absorbant material to absorb urine, the only difference is how they are applied, tape tabs or all-in-one elastic waist. I am asking becuase I have seen and also answered some questions that some people are so against having a child in "Diapers" but "Pullups" or "Goodnites"are okay. Now I know what most will say that diapers are associated with babies and pullups and goodnites are more for older children but at the end of the day they are all diapers, either tape on diapers or pullup diapers. Again this is just a friendly question, please don't go analysing and making all kinds of judgements on answers, I just think its ironic that some think diapers for anyone past 3 is just wrong but a pullup type diaper (goodnites included) is just fine. Thanks

  1. IM WITH YOU , THEY'RE THE SAME THING . . THE ONLY THING I SEE IS THAT IF A CHILD IS POTTY TRAINING THAN PULLUPS ARE EASIER TO TAKE OFF AND HELP THEM TO BE MORE INDEPENDANT. . BUT AT NIGHT IT'S ALL THE SAME!
  2. They are all same .but for older kids to make them use underpants (regular one) pullups uses i think. i started for my daughter like that.
  3. I think they are all the same thing. We first started potty training our 2 1/2 year old when he turned 2, using the goodnites & pullups. We finally did away with them and put him in big boy underwear. He was instantly potty trained. They are all the same as diapers except a little easier to pull up and down and way more expensive. I won't use them in the future.
  4. Not only that, but Pull-ups are FAR more expensive. Yes, fledgling potty users can pull them up and down like underwear. However, you're right...when all is said and done, Pull-ups are just fancy diapers.
  5. Well in my opinion Goodnites and pull up are for the people that like to waste money and PRETEND that their child is not wetting a diaper. I on the other hand am not as easliy fooled I like getting the most for my money and Luvs are it for me they are cheaper, more in the box, and very absorbant My boys pee like no body's business so i need something absorbant, and the cheaper one can't cut it. During the day I have those thick trainer under pants for accidents. As far as my children are concerned how do they know its for babies unless you say they're for babies, If they really have a problem with them, tell them they need to be able to make it through the nite trust me they understand
  6. I know the over night diapers hold more. I don't know if there are overnight pull ups or just overnight diapers however. Supernanny says that pull ups are not even a necessary stop as an FYI. She says it is better to go from diapers straight to underpants and you can still do an overnight diaper until they get in the habit of getting up to go to the bathroom at night. I'm not there yet (I have a 6 month old) but this is what I've heard from friends.
  7. I think they are both the same thing and should be able to be worn by who ever wants to wear them. Whatever is comfortable to the wearer is what sould be worn. I wear goodnites and I'm 16.
