How many diapers does a baby use in a day? And what is the best brand?

I was just curious on how many diapers a baby (newborn & up) uses in a day because i wanna stock up before my lil man gets here. Plus, what brand of diapers do you reccommend? Im trying to get something more on the affordable side, but ill pay a lil extra if that means less leaks and less defective diapers (like the tabs ripping off and stuff). I heard white cloud diapers are good from a friend of mine, but then i looked at some reviews and they werent so good... so let me know what yal think. Thanks so much!!! Thank you all so much! I think i might go with pampers swaddlers while he is a newborn but as he gets older im going to try a few of the cheaper brands out (parents choice, white cloud, luvs). Cloth diapers just arent for me.... but who knows it might be something ill try down the road. Im gonna start out with one big box of the newborn size of the pampers swaddlers and get a few size 1's....that should be good for a little bit. Thanks again to everyone who helped me out.   2. I use cloth and I love them. They are SO cute and easy these days. No Huggies look like my son's diapers LOL When my son was a newborn he went through 12-18 a day. Now it's more like 8 at a little over a year.
  3. My 5 month old has 1-2 dirty diapers and about 7 wet diapers. So on an average about 8-9 a day. I use Pampers and I like the Swaddlers because they are the most stretchiest diapers I have found. I found that Luv's leaked with my daughter but people swear by them. So the brand really depends on your baby.
  4. I use Pampers, I think I went through about 15 a day when he was a newborn. Now he's 6 months and I go through about 8-11 a day.
  5. newborns can go through up to 10 a day! i like to use huggies or pampers (although i do prefer huggies as they dont seem to leak as much)

  7. depedns on teh baby when they are newborns they go a lot and i used about 12 a day! i had a breastfed baby who pooped jsut about evevry time i fed him a t first lol. i use pampers and they work very well, i kinda wish i would have chosen cloth diapers but i dont really know anyone in person who uses tem who could show me. huggies have a little dip int eh front htat my son use to pess out of and pampers didnt do that
  8. i've never used white cloud.. but parent choice is great!!! I recently had an "a ha" moment as a mother... before i use to feel so guilty when i purcahsed cheaper diapers for my kids (at the time i had two in diaper).. then the more and more i talked to other parents i realized that some off brand are just as goos as the name vrand stuff.. soi finally gave in and tryed parents choice.. and i love them!!! no leaks, very soft, tabs don't fall off, stay in place, streatchy!! and SOO cheap!! I am saving tons of money!! The only thing you have to figure out what brand your baby can wear.. some babies can't wear some diapers.. rashes and all that stuff.. so my advice.. try the one you want to buy.. and if no bad reaction from baby.. then go ahead... save money! BTW.. i've been using parents choice for about two month.. and not a single leak!! :P
  9. we use huggies as they fit better and we haven't had a leak yet. they go through between 8 and 15 diapers a day just depends on the baby and how much they pee
  10. i'm breastfeeding my baby and when he first came home he ate every 2 hours and know he eat every 3 hours and he need to be changed after each feeding i use pamper swaddlers and they work great
  11. We use pampers swaddlers and I love them! I have never had a leak/or a problem with them. My baby is six months old. Don't stock up on the newborn size b/c baby will grow quickly unless you are having a small baby. Stock up on the one, two sizes. Good luck!

  13. To stay on the safe side I'd say that our baby uses anywhere between 10-12 diapers in a 24hr. period. We use Pampers Swaddlers, they are great and they do not leak. We've been using them since the day he was born. You do have to point his wacker down so it doesn't leak out, but that's with every diaper. Good luck!
  14. Hey Linz! He is going to use 8+ diapers per day. Go with Huggies for the first 2 stages and then change to Pampers. I reckon they work better and you will have less leaking, Pampers Cruisers are great for bigger babies because they are super comfortable whereas Huggies tend to be stiffer.
  15. We use cloth and we LOVE them. Rarely any leaks, no rashes, less money, and they're so darn cute! When my daughter was first born, she went through at least 15+ diapers a day (still using disposables then). At 7 months, we go through 10-12 a day (I have 38 diapers and I do laundry every 3 days), but keep in mind that cloth needs to be changed every time they are wet. Well, disposables should, too, but they absorb more so that's not always what happens.

  17. For my first child, I used Pampers throughout. For second child, now 2.5 months, I have tried Huggies, Drypers, Mamy Poko and Pampers. End up still prefer Pampers. As for the number of diapers used, really never keep track. But I changed her more frequent when she was new born. I guess it's abt 9 -12 when new born, and now maybe 6 -8.
