Why does my dog keep eating baby wipes? He even digs diapers out of the trash to get the used baby wipes out.?

- It's not the diaper wipes he's after- it's the stuff you cleaned off the baby with them!
- I don't know ? Take the dog to the vet or even call the call is free. Get some real help......
- well he is probably looking for the smell. But you should ask your vet first just to make sure he isnt.. u know.. disabled or something.
- He doesn't want the wipes he wants the POOP AND PEE on them! Body fluids have a salty taste that tastes good to dogs. My advice is to get a garbage can with a locking lid or put the garbage someplace that your dog can get to it. Ingesting foreign material can cause an intestinal blockage and kill your dog within minutes!
- yum me want some diaper.....thats just as bad as kitty cruchies ....its is what u cleaned uphe wants...dogs eat pooo if something is missing in their diet...some do it cause they want to clean up after messes...like a mother dog would do..... whats in the wipe? are the vitamin e ones? see what they are made outta and go from there...call the vet...they might be able to help.
- that is really weird. Maybe he thinks his insides need to be clean. who knows, but that can't be healthy.
- ha ha ha thats so funny! he is a baby wipe addict. maybe they taste good to him. or maybe it is because they are cool and refreshing.
- he wants the stuff thats on the baby wipes! alot of dogs do that because they like the taste of it. gross! my dog used to do that but we got a garbege can that has a locking thing on it so she couldnt get inside. good luck with that! and make sure your dog doesnt eat any of the stuff on there because they can get really sick.
- He is lacking something in his diet.My dog use to eat cat poop and the vet said he lacked protein so i changed his doggy food ti Iams with protein. If its not that the dog is a freak..lol..he may have a poop fetish
- This is called coprophagia, when dogs eat other dog's (or in this case humans) "excrement" or poop. This goes with another term you may or may not want to research "Pica". Pica is when your pooch eats potentially very dangerous non food items such as bark, rocks, furniture- you name it. The chemicals in some of these items (or just plain old rocks per say) can cause internal diorders, broken teeth and is just a bad habit. I didn't really dawn on me that letting your dog eat away at an old piece of furniture cause it was going to be thrown away eventually anyway was a serious matter as to the chemicals that could be involved.
