Diapers Q&A

My dog has started ripping open the garbage and chewing on diapers?

A new and very gross habit. Why is she doing this and how do I stop it? Nothing has changed in her diet or routine I am at a loss?

  1. ewwwwwww your dog needs therapy
  2. put the garbage where he can't get to it.
  3. try using a diaper genie instead.
  4. Simple answer; Because she can. Simple solution: Keep garbage out of her reach.
  5. She smells the food content in the baby's waste (dogs can do that). Put the diapers in a sealed container outside.
  6. let her do it. she'll learn sooner or later that baby poop isnt that cool.
  7. You should get a top for your trash can. Also anytime you see her doing it you should spray her with water not a lot though. That really sends the message that is is naughty to do that.
  8. some dogs get in the trash funny isnt it well i would cage it keep trash up when it is bad kennel it it will learn
  9. Put the garbage away so she can't get into it
  10. Get a garbage can with a lid that tightly snaps on. I got one with a German Shepherd that liked to raid garbage and that stopped her. Another alternative is to get a Diaper Genie. Also, you can take your garbage and put it in a closet, still with a tight snapping lid to keep odors IN the can. Use those garbage bags that are scented and tie stinky stuff up in a couple of grocery plastic bags or something to cut down on the stink.
  11. Time to house train the kids?
  12. make sure the babies out of the diapers.
  13. Get a better trash can, with a lid so the dog can't get it. The best rule for dog training: when the dog does something wrong, roll up a newspaper and hit YOURSELF with it, because it's your fault for not watching your dog !
  14. She's doing it because she's a dog. Dogs eat gross stuff. Dogs also clean up their den. Your dirty diapers are messing up the place... she's taking care of it. Please remember her nose is MUCH more sensitive than yours is. Take the garbage out.
