female dog in heat. any suggestions on diapering?
my dog is 8 months old in two weeks and has come in to her first heat. i was always told i'd never notice the blood droplets as it would be minimal and she would clean it up. unprepared for blood all over where ever she sits. went and got dog cloth diaper with the stick on pad . diaper doesn't fit well .she weighs 9 lbs. xsmall is too small and small is a bit big any recomendations? and don't tell me to spay her as they dont spay them until they've went through their first heat.

- they will to spay a dog before there 1st heat, they also sell special strap on diapers for dogs, or just cut a tail hole with a baby diaper.
- Go to the pet store and buy "prissy pants". They are "tie-on" bottoms with a place to put the pad of a dog in heat. Because they tie, they can be adjusted to fit your dog better. I have used them on my Shih Tzu and she didn't like it, but she kept them on! Good luck to you!
- i used pull ups on my mini shnauzer and they worked great just buy a size bigger than you think you'll need bc the first ones i bought were way too small
