Will my dog be OK??? She ate a diaper.?

When we got home I found the trash pulled out and my dog had ate a poopie diaper. Will she be OK? What should I do?

4. Well, diapers are pretty much plasticly materials... like a soft plastic bag. This will get caught in her intestinal tracts and block it up. I say take her to the vet where he will deal with it in the best possible way. Good Luck!

6. Yuck. I'm sorry. Chances are she will pass it but I'd keep a close eye on her for the next few days and if she shows signs of being sick, get her to the vet right away. The plastic could cause a bowel obstruction. And I guess no doggie kisses for awhile.
7. LOL! Sorry. Yes, your dog will be fine. They're coprophagous. They'll eat much worse things in their lifetime. Just don't let him lick your face. If he ate a lot of the diaper itself, a vet's visit might not be a bad idea.
8. I would say take her to the vet. Just so they can check things out. My grandparents had a poodle that ate a poopie diaper and then died. My golden got ahold of a diaper once and is still here, but she didn't eat more than what she got by tearing it apart. We took her to the vet and he made sure she was ok. Just take her to the vet, to be sure things are ok.

10. keep an eye on her when you put her out to use the bathroom, most times dogs can pass anything threw, but if she seems to be straining to poop, or try's with no result take her to a vet. a natural laxative for dogs is vasaline. give her a finger full by mouth if you want to try that before taking her in... either way keep an eye on her.
11. Call your vet! The plastic in the diaper could cause her some big problems. I'm not sure if they use any chemicles in them to help them stop smelling, but if they do that could be a problem too. It could also plug up her intestines so you have to get proper advice on what to do right away. She may need an ultrasound to see how much she actually ate. 12. Did your dog really eat the diaper or just the poop, alot of dogs will tear up diapers and eat the poop. It usually won't hurt the dog but just to be sure you might want to de worm your dog. If it actually ate the whole diaper keep an eye on him and see if he gets stopped up if he does you will need to take him to the vet.
13. I can't tell you how many diapers my dogs ripped up and ate when my son was little. They were fine.
