where can i find free diapers/training pants for a 2 1/2 year old/out of work 4 2 wks/surgery money tight?

  1. This reminds me that diapers are a good gift to the local food bank. Actually, the local food bank often has baby items available. You might check with them. Also, you don't have to be a member of your local church (or even of their religion) to approach them for help. Another thought is the local health department. If they don't have them for you or offer you access themselves, I'm guessing they could help you find a place locally. Diapers can be a real expensive item -- throw away or washable. BTW: It is my experience that the cheaper $5.00/bag diapers are just as absorbent as the more expensive brand name diapers AND they are softer on the skin. The problem is that they tend to cause diaper rash if they are not changed immediately when wet. I would look in your local market (large chain store type, I think) for the cheaper no-name diapers. It will save you tons if you change them responsibly!
