Diapers Q&A

Can you use any cloth diaper with any wrap?

For example can I use gerber cloth diapers with kushies wraps?

  1. Why not? Whatever works.
  2. Yep, I use a mixture of different nappies, for night and day etc, and theyre all different brands :)
  3. Most of them are pretty interchangeable, especially prefolds. You could run into problems if you mixed bulky fitteds with a different brand of cover, but even most of those would do fine. If you use the regular Gerber prefolds, you may need to double them up soon, as these are fairly thin (even though the non-absorbent foam makes the center look thicker). These work well for tiny babies, but I greatly preferred Diaper Service Quality or Chinese prefolds for bigger babies.
  4. Hell yes! I have so many different kinds...whatever works! If it holds the poo and pee in, I'm happy. lol. :) Oh, and I have a lot of the Gerber prefolds, I add them to so many others for extra absorbency now that my babe is 15 mos and pees a lot more.
  5. I do. I used to use Gerber prefolds with Bummis wraps. Now I frequently use prefolds that I make myself or Thirsties prefolds with various wraps. None with aplix/velcro though, my son likes to undo it! :-)
  6. you COULD, but gerber cloth diapers don't really absorb anything, they're just burn rags. If you don't have a diaper store in your area, look for cotton or hemp prefolds online. I got mine from http://www.babyclothbottoms.com Mine are "Indian prefolds" They are very absorbent. Baby pees, and when I go to change her, the sides are still dry. With the gerbers, the entire thing would be soaked, and dripping, they are disgusting. good luck.
