My 7 month old daughter is attached to her burp cloth?
My 7 month old daughter loves her burp cloths. We use the cloth diaper gerber ones. I have been trying to find a smaller burp cloth sized diaper to see if she might cuddle up to that instead of a burp cloth. Does anyone have one or know where I can find a cute smaller blanket. When she gets sleepy she cuddles with it and then I take it away from her as soon as she is asleep. I'm sorry I can't type today. It should say I am looking for a burp cloth sized blanket =)

- I know this may seem mean, but just take it away. She will cry for the first couple of times she lays down but she is young enough that she will get over it quickly. She needs to learn self-soothing- without attachments. This will help her to be more independent. Some kids have a lot of attachments- and turn out fine- but it can be a big hassle when you go places and forget something. The best bet is to just try switching things around often. One day a bear, the next day a doll, the next day a blanket etc.
- I would suggest checking on ebay for a snuggly, or walmart, they have several 1/2 stuffed animals, 1/2 blankets that the little ones love. Good Luck. I don't see a huge problem in letting her have her "security"
- walmart/target! and also, you can replace it, throw away or keep the burp cloth, and if she doesnt like the new one she mikght not use it or throw it but eventually that will be her only thing comfrtablefor her to use so she will use it.
- I would say let her have it. I had those, they are very soft and the ones I had were nice looking, not plain or ratty or anything. One of my aunt's kids used to carry those around instead of blankets. I don't know about small blankets, my daughter uses the regular receiving blankets to carry around. They are pretty reasonable for size.
- At walmart they have the little burp cloths. They come 4 to a pack and have many many desinges on them. They are much smaller then the gerber, and are really colse to balnkets except they are slightly padded in the middle. They say terry cloth, but they are really not. They are soft.
