  1. Thats what we used! It was so great to only have to spend $200 to diaper 2 children! Plus maybe $4.00 aweek to wash them. Bummis are awesome covers. They never leaked and last a long time and stood up to some seriously lazy washing routines!-)
  2. Try traveling across country in an automobile with an infant in cloth diapers. First question, after changing the diapers where do you put the shitty diapers when they will be in the car without being cleaned for 3-6 days? Give me disposables!
  3. while i am not a prefold fan.....cloth is better than sposies any day! i love my fitted hemp diapers......they are incredible and on the best investments i have ever made congrats on the decision to look into cloth.....too many ppl still have in their head the old fashioned concept of pins and rubber pants and horrrible washing burden when that is so not the case good luck
  4. I love prefolds with a Bummis SWW! I also like the homemade wool covers that my mom and MIL have knitted, but they don't hold runny poop like the Bummis. I would add a Snappi to help keep the cover clean and hold the diaper in place after baby starts to move around. No matter what you choose, cloth diapers are far superior to disposables. You're on the right track. Just keep reading until you've read everything, then decide what to purchase or make. Everyone has to find their own balance of price, convenience and style. You will be very happy if you decide to go all prefolds and Bummis, but I suspect that you will add some AIOs or pockets for overnight or going out. They're irresistably cute! Try no to get addicted!
