Cloth diaper organization.?
As a mother who uses cloth diapers in the home, I often wonder to myself how other cloth diapering mothers did things in their homes. "Did you keep all of your babies diapering things folded, and inside a baby dresser"? "Did you keep all the diapers, pins, rubber pants, wash cloths, etc, on top of the baby's dresser"? "Did you just keep certain things for diapering in the dresser"? "Where did you keep the diaper pail"? For years now I have more or less kept a day or two's supply of diapers folded and ready on top of the dresser, along with extra pairs of rubber pants, (maybe 3-4 pairs), a couple extra sets of safety pins, the powder, some wash cloths, and the diaper rash ointment. Extra diapers are kept folded and tucked away inside diaper stackers in the baby's closet, and the diaper pail is kept inside the bathroom. Looking to pick up some new ideas to use in my home regarding baby care.

- looks like your very organize. however i would not recommend using baby powder. why, theres small particle that float in the air get get in your child's throat, hans suffocating them and killing them. sorry but there were warnings all over Canada. so stop using baby powder.
- We use a diaper champ. I make my own deodorizing disks very cheaply with baking soda, distilled water, and essential oils. I wash diapers about every other day. I primarily use pocket dipes, so on wash day, I stuff them all and stack them on the second shelf of the changing table. I have some contoured diapers that are my emergency stash and they stay in a cute wicker basket with a liner, also on the changing table. We don't need Snappis, pins, covers, any of that, but when I was using prefolds and needed all that stuff, I made my own organizer and hung it from one end of the changing table. I also make my own diaper wipe solution, which is kept in a spray bottle on the changing table. Always nice to know there are other cd'ers out there!
- When my child was a baby I kept things pretty much the way you do. I wasn't fortunate enough to have a changing table or anything like that at the time, so it was a diaper stacker in the closet and normal clothes in the dresser with a few diapers, plastic pants etc on top the dresser for quick reach when changing. I used cornstarch instead of talc because of the warnings about talc, I also found that it actually kept the baby drier too. I wouldn't use disposables, they are too uncomfortable to wear. I'm currently partially incontinent and use cloth diapers myself for the same reason. Sure would be nice to know about those homemade wipes and diaper disks. lol.
