Best cloth diaper starter kit?
I've decided to try cloth diapers, and I dont want to spend a -ton- on something I'm not sure I'll stick with yet. My boy is a bit over 20 pounds, so I also cant get an infant kit. I spend about $40 a month on diapers, so a kit somewhere in the same ballpark would be great...I've seen a few but dont know which is best. From what I've read, i'm leaning towards chinese or indian pre-folds, though wouldnt mind to pay a bit extra if it included one AIO. Any suggestions? Anything I should stay away from?

- The cheapest way to go would be about 3 dozen diapers and a couple Thirsty covers. It'd be about $50. I love Thirsty covers because they have an extra lip in the thighs and I've never had a leak. And they come in such pretty colors. I love pocket diapers, but start up kits can be expensive!
- My best friend uses Fuzzi Bunz and loves them. You can usually find them on ebay.
- Look at http://www.diaperaps.com/ I received a birth to potty package when my son was born. He's just turning one and they are just now showing signs of less absorbency - and I change my son often so I wash the diapers often and I also made the mistake of using bleach when watching which causes more degradation of the fabric. I have been really happy with them and would use them again! Oh, I also just got a set of 5 all-in-ones from Kushies (available at their website or Wal-Mart.com). They are good too, but the toddler size (22 lbs.-40 lbs.) are a little large for my son (who is on the low end of the range).
- There are some programs that let you try a bundle of different versions to see what you like best! The first site are all brand new and it explains how it works on the site! The initial cost is $100, but then all but 10 is used toward purchasing your favorite styles. The second site offers more, but that is because some are used. It has the same deal of return them and get $100 back to be used toward store credit for buying more than you like! I personally recently had to switch to cloth because my baby's horrible diaper rash (we chose to stay). For the time being as we just used our diaper money to spend on disposables, I went to Babies R Us and bought the Gerber, 3-ply bird's eye that is much thicker in the center (you have to open and feel them to figure out which one is thicketest) and some of the Gerber vinyl covers. We already had some of the thinner pre-folds people had bought for us to use as burp rags, that we use to double at night! This is only temporary, but a great way to start up our cloth diaper collection. Slowly we will add more as we get the money to do so, but it works for us now!!
