Whats the best brand of cloth diapers?
I've found a ton of different brands of one size cloth diapers. I was reading about Tiny Tush, and then I found a bunch more like Kissaluvs, SwaddleBees, Mommy's Touch, bumGenius, and others. I wanted to know which one was the best, or is this kind of cloth diaper even worth the money that they cost initially? Are there any other brands that may be better than my listed ones?

- I shop on http://hyenacart.com There are a ton of Work-at-home-mom shops that sell Momma made diapers. Surf around there and I am sure you will find something you like. You will also find a lot of nice covers and others thing. Be careful, it is quite addictive!
- There are many great brands of cloth diapers! I guess it depends on what you are looking for. Out of the dipes you have listed I know that kissaluvs 0's are one of the most popular dipes for the nb stage, but I don't know of many mom that use them after that. If you are going for one-size than I have heard better things about bumGenius than Mommy's Touch. I think it is best to buy a few kinds of CDs to try instead of sinking all of your money into one kind of dipe that you may not even like! I would go to the forums on the Diaper Pin and read the posts. You will learn EVERYTHING you need to know about cding and have moms eager to answer your every question. They also have a great site to find reviews of dipes and covers. These are some popular choices- Fitteds & Prefitteds- Tinkle Traps, Dreamease, MUTTS, Motherease Sandy's, Thirsties Pockets- Fuzzi Bunz, Green Acre Designs, Pocket Change, Happy Hieneys AIOs- Bum Genius, Mommy's Touch , Kushies I personally am a prefold mama myself :) (follow the link and go to "diaper talk" you will be glad you did!)
- i agree that different dipes suit different moms and babes i personally think that hemp is the best material for cloth diapers.....you just can't go wrong with it...the super absorbancy, the antimicrobrial properties, naturally organic , and the durability i have 3 brand of hempies Little Beatles.....okay....my least favorite Crickett's Diapers....i really love these Growing Greens are my fave though......and they fit up to 35lbs!!!! check out those brands on their websites and see what you think
- We're about to start cloth diapering(son is 18mo). We're getting BumWear and bumGenius diapers. When I get pregnant again, I'm going to get some kissaluvs, because my friends that cloth diaper all say that they are great for the sticky newborn poop. If you think about the effect that the hundreds of disposible diapers that each baby uses has on the environment, then yes, it's worth the money. Also, one cloth diaper costs about the same as a pack of sposies. You buy 20 cloth diapes and provided that you get one size bGs and BWs then you have diapers from birth to potty training. YOu'll go thru 20 packs of diapers in 1 year. So, to me it is worth it. If you have any other CDing questions feel free to email me.
- I have just started the switch CDs myself. I have 5 bumGenius AIOs, and some WAHM AIOs and prefolds/ Bummis covers on the way. I have to say that I LOVE the bumGenius so far. But, I don't really have anything to compare them to yet, lol. I do like that they are as easy to use as disposables and even hubby will change them. Plus, they seem like they will be much easier when out or traveling than prefolds. If you're going to spend the money on an all in one, I'd go for the one size. They are incredibly expensive and I wish the ones I had were one size, because she's going to outgrow them sooner than I had originally thought. I also agree with the other Mom who suggested getting more than one kind to see what you like. If you're going to spend that much money, you don't want to be stuck with something you don't use! You can also try ebay or www.diaperswappers.com for used or WAHM-made diapers. I've ordered most of mine from ebay so far and had good luck.
- I use Baby Love (onesize) AIOs. I also have 4 WHAMs but only use them during the day, at home since they leak at night and are too bulky for travel. Back to the Baby Love's- THEY ARE AWESOME! and: provide good leakage protection, are trim, fast drying, and easy to use. I would recommend them for sure! I was lucky enough to find them new on eBay for $11 a piece. You can find them on Amazon.com for as low as $11.95, just watch out for shipping...
