Public Comments

  1. panties.
  2. The ones that Osama wraps round his head.
  3. Gerber. Really all are the same.
  4. try pampers! y would u go for cloth when u have the latest techniques ..
  5. ones that someone else has to wash!
  6. The name brand is called birdseye. You can find them at wal-mart or target.
  7. I would definitely check out www.babysabode.com. You can order cloth diapers online. That's where I'm going to get mine as soon as I have a baby!
  8. I like the old fashioned kind that are kinda thin on the sides but not too thin and thick in between that as they are more absorbent.
  9. Isn't it great how people will respond about something they know absolutely NOTHING about? LOL I have been using cloth on my almost 8 month old since he was about 6 weeks. I prefer pockets and All in Ones(AIOs), they are the closest(as far as ease of use) to disposables. I have one fitted with a cover that I like also. There are MANY different styles and brands of cloth dipes, and the one that works best for me not work best for you and your baby. I would HIGHLY recommend trying one dipe out of each system(prefold and cover, fitted and cover, pocket, AIO) to figure out your preference. Also, check out http://www.diaperpin.com/home.asp for tons of good info and product reviews. Also, if you are working on a fixed budget check out http://www.miraclediapers.org/ they are an amazing organization! If you would have any questions please feel free to contact me, and if I can't answer your question I will GLADLY find someone that can!
  10. god you have some really idiotic answers here! the best?...they are many good ones i personally think that hemp is one of the the best materials available for cloth diapering i am using hemp fitted from Growing Greens and Cricketts' they are fricken awsome.......and i use gerber ez covers so hemp, wool, bamboo, cotton are the best birdseye is NOT good for diapers.......neither is thin cotton....
  11. I love fuzzi bunz, but everyone is different and every diaper will fit and work differently. Check out http://diaperpin.com/diapers/diaperpages.asp for reviews. And for the love of God don't get birdseye diapers, they are just awful.
  12. some people are idiots with answering your question which is a good one. i use terry cloth nappies and supplement with dispoables at night or wet days. i go though about 8-12 cloth a day.
  13. I like prefolds and covers for around the house. And they hold up very well for several children. I also love pocket diapers like BumGenius or Happy Heiny's or Fuzzi Bunz for going out and about or at night when I don't change as frequently. You can get some at a great price usually on www.diaperswappers.com. Ebay is usually a bit over priced. Your local Craigslist might have some too.
  14. I bought the Gerber brand. But really(if you can afford it) diaper service ROCKS!!!!! They are great diapers, you don't have to rinse them, or wash them!!! you simply change baby, throw the diaper in the provided diaper pail and you're set. they come however often you set it up for. Look it up in the phone book, if this sounds better to you!!! I did this both ways for my oldest. Then I turned to diposable with my 2 youngest. its all a matter of opinion
  15. All in One cloth diapers are the best (plastic outside and soft thick diaper inside--all attached in one piece). I used Kushies brand. I also used Gerber EZ Liner diaper liners. The liners are disposable pieces of soft cloth (that pull the wetness away from the baby's skin). The liners are great for catching the poop to throw it away before washing the cloth diaper. Good for you for choosing cloth diapering! Better for the environment and your baby. Good luck!!
  16. Oh yes, I want to be parent of the year and use the cloth diaper system. Good for you. Try that for about a month and make sure you don't have twins as your first children of 4. Then realize that their diaper rash, and poor sleeping habbits and irritability may be caused because you didn't ask them specifically what they would like. A diaper that keeps the wetness away and is sterile or a cloth (and I use that term loosely as cloth is also man made for some CLOTH diapers). So the answer is YOU chose and put some investigation into it. and in the long run. Go with what the baby wants.
  17. The cheap kind!! I always went with the cheapest kind <saving money, you know> & they worked just as good as the expensive ones given to me as a gift.
