diaper bags ..?

before i found out what i was having i fell in love with this diaper bag from walmart .. and the day before we found out my mom bought it for me, cause EVERYONE was so sure it was a girl. but the diaper bag is black and along the top it has different colored pink stripes. but then we found out its a boy but my mom said it doesnt really matter what color the diaper bag is because im carrying it for me and it will be a purse type thing for me anyways. (i figure carrying around a diaper bag and a purse and a baby is a bit much) so my question to you s guys is, does it really matter if my diaper bag has pink on it even though its a boy? or does it not even matter since i'll probably go through alot?

1. Of course it doesn't matter...your Mom is right...you'll be carrying the bag not your baby!
2. your is mom totally right, some women change their bags like purses according to what they are wearing.
3. The bag is for YOU to carry the baby's diapers, the colour doesn't matter. No one looks at a diaper bad to determine the sex of the baby, they'll look at his clothes or blankets. Congrats and good luck!
4. I agree with the other answers. It is a bag for you as well. Diaper bags are moving more and more away from gender specific. I say use whatever bag you love. Congratulations!

7. It doesn't matter what you use, only if you like it. I gave up diaper bags except for long overnight trips. I just use a purse. I think it's a great excuse to buy a fabulous new purse.
8. I wouldn't worry about the bag, now if you were dressing your son in pink and yellow stripes I would be a little worried and everyone would think he was a girl, but in all honesty, no one will pay that much attention to the bag when they see the adorable baby. good luck.

I actually had the same problem i loved a diaper bag i say and it had pink in it, absolutely gorgous but i was having a boy, my sister said the same thing it doesn't matter, but i decided to me it did matter and didn't get it. I thought along with a few other things people are going to come up to me and say she's sooo cute, and i didn't feel comfortable with that or carrying a girls diaper bag when i had a boy!
