  1. sounds fine to me, as long as theres enough room for bottles and diapers and wipe and change of clothing for you nad him lol babies are very messy lol ohh and dont foget toys lol
  2. Why would you buy something to use as a diaper bag if you didn't know if it would be ok??
  3. You probably need a diaper bag, because a diaper bag will have a spot to put your bottles and all the compartments you will need. I just read that coach has a diaper bag out right now I'm not sure of the price or whether it is a limited edition or not but you could look into it.
  4. Any bag will do just fine as a diaper bag as long as you can fit your entire house into it, LOL!!!!
  5. Oh that should be fine!!! I have 2 kids (third on the way) and I use a smaller beach tote that I can wear like a book bag...I always went out and bought a diaper bag...then figured I could save money (and my arm) from lugging around that big thing... this light sling bag is perfect!!! I throw in the diapers, wipes, bottles, and snacks and we are good to go...sometimes a blanket too..it all fits great and my arm isnt in agony from hauling around a huge super packed diaper bag....at first momma's tend to load the diaper bags up, but after some experience you realize you dont need everything you tend to haul along...LOL I sure did!
  6. It depends on the durability. My diaper bag has two places on the outisde for bottles, an outside velcro compartment, and plenty of space on the inside. It aslo has traction on the bottom of the bag so it own't get dirty when put down. After having already gone through three bags with my toddler, my "Jeep" brand found at Baby Dept is built to last (and pretty, too)
  7. Technically, you'll be fine with any diaper bag size bag. I have a sister that uses a large coach tote as a diaper bag just because it's goes a little more with her style. And it works just as good if not better bacause it has more pockets.
  8. I'd stick with the tote if I were you. I went through 3 diaper bags before I just gave up and threw them all out and started using a plastic bag. No matter how well made the diaper bags I bought were (or that were bought for me) the interior always ripped apart from the rest of the bag and would become a total disaster inside. I couldn't keep anything organized... nothing would stay cold when needed (snacks, milk, juice, etc.) It wasn't until my son was a year old I went to my sister's for a visit and she had an old, oversized leather bag she never used anymore that she gave me for a "diaper bag." It was the best thing ever! Wish I had it before I spent $100+ on diaper bags. It never tore, ripped, or anything else. Stick with the tote... don't buy a diaper bag! They're evil!!! >:-) <-- diaper bag devil
  9. TO START OUT MY GIRLFRIEND DID THAT SHE UAED IT FOR AWHILE THEN SHE ENDED UP GETTING A DIAPER BAG
  10. That's a lot of money to drop on a bag that's going to get dragged around, set down on bathroom floors, occasionally have stinky dirty diapers stuffed into it until you can get to a trash can, milk/juice leaks, rotten bananas because you knew you'd need a snack while you were out but forget to take it out later when you didn't need it after all..... ;) I'm not a big believer in the fancy schmancy diaper bags out there these days. Something simple, with a few pockets to make it easier to find certain items (rash cream, teething tablets, band-aids, first aid ointment, etc.)... For quite a while I had a nice black leather backpack (cost about $10 at Walgreens or something) that I used. It had a few nice pockets and a huge main compartment. I *loved* it, in fact it was probably my favorite "diaper bag" over many years of carrying one around. Here's an idea-- pack up the Coach tote with all of the things you'd need for an all-day outing; toys, change of clothes, set of PJs, light blanket, non-perishable snacks, small first-aid kit, etc. in addition to the obligatory diapers & wipes. Then leave it in the trunk, or under a seat, for those few occasions when you might end up needing it. It will come in handy more often for those occasions when you simply forgot to restock the usual diaper bag, and it will be an absolute *lifesaver* for those unexpected days when you find yourself out ALL day, or taking a spur-of-the-moment trip to a friend's house, or the zoo, etc. And then you'll have your still brand-spankin'-new looking Coach bag looking great hanging off the stroller handles. ;)
  11. I use the same thing, only thing that stinks is not having a thing to hold the bottle in. the actully coach diaper bag goes for 300 plus. online
  12. It'll work fine as long as its big, because you stick everything in it. The only thing is they get awfully beat up so its nice to have something that just wipes clean. The little pocket for bottles/cups is nice but half the time I forget its there and just stick a cup in the bag part. Some diaper bags have insulated area's for milk and stuff, if you're bottle feeing that would probably be nice, if not you're just going to throw it all in the bag anyway.
  13. It'll be fine. Are u kidding? The larger the diaper bag or any bag you use, the better. More room for more stuff. You'll need it.
  14. The bigger the bag the better. You always find things you need to stick in there and having the room is great. Since there probably isnt a place to stick a bottle make sure you put the lid on the bottle so it doesn't leak into the bag and make a mess. Congrats on your baby!
  15. I think that is fine, but you should get a smaller one for those days you will only be out for a couple of hours. I did the same thing , but when you think about it you don't need to carry there whole life with them when your not going out for a long time.
