- cloth
- I like the Target or WalMart brand. They are way cheaper than the name brands and have worked just fine for both of my children. I tried Huggies, but my daughter leaked every time she wore them.
- I loved the swaddlers.
- huggies
- for newborn use the swaddlers, toddler age i changed to the white cloud wal-mart brand, they all work good (i wouldnt use luvs or huggies though)
- I use Huggies and Pampers. Both are absorbent and work for my baby. I keep 2 brands on hand because of what works for each of my little girls. My 8 week old is constantly using Huggies and my 18 month old is constantly using Pampers. For younger babies I reccomend Huggies, for older babies (11 months and up) I recomend Pampers.
- For my daughter, I used Huggies because oddly enough she would get yeast rashes from Pampers and Luvs. When she was older and not needing changed every 20 minutes, we started using cloth.
- Well I use the cheap brand at walmart (yellow bag)..they work pretty well but if the baby pees alot they can leak. Luvs feel like cardboard to me...don't prefer pampers..but I think they have those in the hospital so you can see. Huggies are pretty good and hold alot also. I got tons of different kinds at my baby shower and went thru them to decide which I liked better and I would say huggies is first on my list but if tight on money then i did the cheap yellow bag brand at walmart. Best wipes I love to use are the target brand wipes and they are a good price too but very soft and cleans awesome!!
- depends on age for newborn...Huggies... we tried Pampers, White Cloud and Huggies and Huggies kept her and us the driest. LOL Pampers were the absolute worst. but i am not sure about for infant boys... for the 2 and 3 year olds (one girl one boy) we like white cloud they are cheaper and seem to hold in leaks for them pretty good. good luck and congrats
- Brand doesn't matter... no matter how much people try to tell you otherwise. But as for sizing, most babies need size N for newborn when they are first born. I would only buy 1 jumbo pack right now though, you will be surprised at how fast they get into size 1's!
- I just tried Target brand, and they are great. Nice cloth like outside, and hold up very well. I say they are just as good as Pampers. I do not like Huggies, as I find they always leak.
- I LOVE pamper's swaddlers. They aren't the cheapest ones but work great, are very soft and breathable- no rashes or redness at all yet. Whatever you buy, dont go overboard on the newborn size. If you're trying to budget, just get a couple gift cards for wherever you shop, so you can pikc up more later. I got 6 packages (40ct) of newborn size and had to return 4 of them.
- You should try the swaddlers first, but you really aren't gonna know what YOU like until you try em! I've switched 5 times in 8 months and I like the huggies natural fit for when the baby starts crawling
- The best diapers by far are the Pampers swaddlers for newborns and when they get older the Pampers cruisers are the best. Huggies diapers leak and any other pff brand diapers are no good as far as I've experienced.
- when my baby was first born they used pampers swaddlers in the hospital. we liked those because they were very soft and fit his tiny body just right. we used the swaddlers until he was about 2 months old. then we switched to huggies because poop would burst from the top of the swaddlers onto his back too often (sorry tmi). we have been using Huggies since.
- Hi, I have 2 daughters, and with my first daughter I tried pampers, huggies, well it didn't take me long to switch to another brand. Because both of them leaked out , and I don't like diapers that leak! especially through the night, and little girls do tend to go more, if you know what I mean. So from then on I switched to Luvs! and been using Luvs even for my second daughter. So I prefer Luvs!, Good Luck with yours!.
- The best thing that you can do is try the different brands. There is a big difference. The diaper that works best for you is going to depend on the shape of your baby. For my daughter who was always good size she never fit in the newborn size diapers not even in the hospital. So if you plan to buy newborn sizes dont buy more than one package. Huggies tend to be a little smaller than pampers. My daughter would outgrow a size in huggies before she would in pampers. The walmart brand of diapers worked fine for me but there is no stretch to them and they dont seem to be as comfortable once baby can move around. Luvs leaked horribly everytime my daughter went to the bathroom but I have a cousin who has used them on both of her kids with success. I guess it depends on the child. One thing that i noticed with huggies was that the bottom of the tab would chaffe against my daughters leg leaving it red. My personal favorite is pampers swaddlers, then pampers cruisers and now we use pamper standing changes. If you plan to breastfeed your baby remember that breastfed babies tend to have runnier poop than formula fed babies and you are going to want to make sure that you have a good diaper. With my daughter her poop runs out of anything other than pampers or huggies. One thing that you will learn is that it is important to have the right size. If the diaper is too big then they will leak but they will also leak if they are to small because there is not enough room in the diaper so the poop or pee comes out especially up the back of the diaper. Sorry I could not tell you one diaper is the best but that depends on how your baby is shaped as to how a diaper will fit your child. I am a fan of pampers because they have an absorb away liner which drops after the baby has gone to the bathroom pulling the dirty diaper away fron their skin more If you buy more than one of a brand and decide that you dont like them you can take back the unopened ones and swap for something else. Walmart was always great about that. Good luck and enjoy your little one
- We used Swaddlers for our newborns. Also, I can't remember which brand it was or if they still have them on the market, but there used to be newborn diapers with a little "U" shape cut out in the front to keep the belly button exposed since you don't want it to be covered while it heals. You can also just save money and use regular newborn diapers and fold them down in the front. We have used Huggies for all three of our kids. They worked well for all three except our daughter who was known as our "super pooper". There was no diaper known to man that could contain her masterpieces! Lol! Eventually she quit leaking through everything. Anyway, we've tried different brands and prefer the Huggies. They tend to stretch around the waist better so you feel that it's more secure. Also, we buy our Huggies at Costco. I don't know if you have a Costco close by or a membership, but you can get a box of hundreds of diapers for $35-40. It worked out to be the best deal. I can't remember how many diapers came in the size 1-2 box, but the size 3 box comes with 224 and I know the size 1-2 has more than that. However, you'll have to use the Swaddlers for awhile (depending on how much your baby weighs) before the size 1-2 Huggies will fit. Good luck!
- When my baby was first born, we used Pampers Swaddlers on him because they were so nice and soft. Now that he's 2.5 months, I prefer Huggies Gentle Care, although I still use Swaddlers occasionally. When he has a diaper rash, we put flat fold cloth diapers on him from Gerber so that he has time to "air out." Also, when he wets those, it's so much easier to tell than with a disposable, which translates into less time sitting in wetness and less time to irritate his rash. Be sure to sign up for the diapers' websites. They'll send you coupons in the mail that will be very useful later on!
- HUGGIES ..... they are the best i tried every kind and the are the best they have like an elastic band so they expand after baby has a bottle and then go back to normal.... they are great
- Pampers Swaddlers work best for me. I tried Target brand and they stink for little boys!!! Leak everywhere! It was worth the little bit of money for the better diaper. Also, Wal-Mart puts them on sale a lot and there are always coupons in the paper.
- I use cloth diapers, with covers (chinese prefolds with bummis covers) the majority of the time. My son prefers them and he's never had diaper rash. During the nights and when we go out for longer periods of time I use Huggies supreme, we tried pampers, and paren'ts choice, he didnt like the pampers and i found parents choice more likely to leak. good luck
