i wanna know hows it a dog can eat human crap but cant eat their own?

my sister in law brought that to my attention tonight about her dog eating her daughters diapers but you'd never see a dog eat their own so yes it's been buggin me like crazy cause i'm stumped lol

5. Actually, they do eat their own crap. I never thought they did either until recently. I got a new pup a couple months ago, and he eats his own. Disgusting!! I don't know why, but I'm slowly breaking him out of that habit. He's getting better but I catch him doing it once in a while.
6. Dogs eat their own crap and they eat cat doo-doo too. It's a disgusting thing (one of my dogs does both, plus diapers!). You can get something called "For-Bid" to put in their food to make the stuff coming out the back end unpalatable. Obviously the diaper situation is avoidable--keep the diapers in a covered can/closed cabinet (that's what I have to do).
7. its an instinct to animals not to eat their same tribe because its unethical and immoral to eat your own tribe. Dogs also knows that.

19. I don't know if my dog eats her own poop but I know she eats her own vomit. She would eat poop fresh out of the cats butt if she could. Maybe its a vitamin deficiency, you know like little kids eating crayons or playdoh or something.
20. a babys poo is not digested as well as an adult. so it comes out almost as good as it went in. a dog just smells something good and does not ask were did it come from. plus puppies get their own all the time for the same reason.
