  1. Well, the formula intake increases as the baby gets older. You are looking at an average of $25 per can and we go through about 1.5 per month at this point. (I have a 7 month old). With diapers, it is best just to get the biggest box- you can even get a good store brand- Target brand is about $15-20 for a box of 120 and that should last you a month. You are looking at about 8 diaper changes a day. Formula is the biggest expense.
  2. Figure on $150 a month on formula. Depending on the size of the cans you'll go through one a week, sometimes more. $25/can. Diapers, a pack or two a week (depending on age of child) and packs range from $8-15.
  3. it all depends where you live and if w.i.c. is available to you. w.i.c. stands for women infant and children and you can get up to 9 cans of formula(of your choice) a month. and the diapers well i'll tell you my favorite diapers come from walgreens.its their brand too they are the best off brand diaper out there in my opinion. good luck
  4. My daughter started drinking Similac at the age of 6 months and that cost me about 100 dollars a moth and then we have always bought her Huggies and that was about 40-60 a month.
  5. Yeah, I only know Australia, sorry, but for the sake of completeness and for our antipodean friends to argue over ... In the early days you need about 10-12 nappies a day (if you are a nice mummy and change regularly including overnight). This reduces to about 6 a day by the time they are 18 months and stays at that level until they get to 2 or 3 (usual toilet training age). In Australia, each nappy costs around 40 cents. By my calculations then you are talking about around $2000 for the first 18 months, and about another grand after that. Conservatively! I breastfed until 9 months so cannot answer the formula question. We gave one bottle at night once our daughter was about 12 weeks old and even that added up quickly.
