Cloth Vs Disposable Diapers Questions
Cloth vs. Disposable Diapers? I am debating the pros and cons of both. I saw some cloth diapers that were AIO (all in ones) that looked pretty neat an alternative baby store. They are expensive, but I think they are pretty cost effective as they grow with the child. Does anyone have any opinions on either? I'd like to hear from parents who have used cloth, disposable or both? I was also wondering something about cloth diapers. What do you do when the baby soils them and you are out of the house and need to change the baby? Thanks. *AT an alternative baby store. Sorry, typo. Yeah Miss S. I was thinking about doing both. Cloth AIO for around the house and disposable for when the baby goes out. Not sure yet. I do have a while to think about it!
Cloth Diapers VS Disposable diapers? I was on Many websites! about these diapers! That are so not like the old fashioned way. But now Its much eaiser and so less expensive. What Im asking is Has anybody tried cloth diapers as of called now PREFOLDS* With Bummis Super Wrap Covers! Whats your commets on them. thanks!
cloth diapers vs, disposable......? i am on my 4th pregnancy, 3rd live birth if all goes well, and we are thinking of using cloth diapers. I have always used disposable in the past. Can someone tell me some advantages of using cloth?
Did you wear Disposable or Cloth Diapers as a baby? My daughter was born six months ago and I remembered trying to decide whether to use cloth or disposable. My hubby was against cloth at first, but we decided to give it a shot. It has been wonderful. However, my mother can't go over it. She told me that when I was born (1978) that cloth was considered too uncomfortable and everybody was starting to use disposables. It seems that the cloth vs. disposable diaper debate will go on forever. So ladies, which kind did you wear?
Cloth diapers? What are the different parts to it? I am expecting a little one soon and am trying to make up my mind about cloth diapers .vs. disposable diapers.I am not getting enough info about how the cloth diapers work. I cannot afford a diaper service and will have to do the washing myself. Are there any liners etc thatI need to buy with the cloth diapers? How does the system work?
Nappies (diapers) disposable vs cloth? No doubt this has been asked before but we are using cloth nappies. Is it true 'environmentally' there's not a huge difference? And more of a difference cost wise? (we're in Australia) has any one worked out what one would save using cloth? Thank you
Cloth Diapering vs Disposable? I am expecting my first child and try to be eco-friendly, so I am very interested in cloth diapering. I am wondering about the financial aspects of it. I keep reading it is cheaper than using disposables, but can't find an estimated, total amount. My questions are for parents who've used either method of diapering: How much do you think you spent week to week? How much do you think you spent total (say, newborn to age 3 or potty training)? If you used disposables, would you use them with your next child or switch? If you used cloth, would you use them with your next child or switch? Thank you.
Cloth vs disposable? I am reviewing the pros and cons of cloth and disposable diapers. I know cloth ones are supposed to be better for baby, plus I have heard they make potty training just a tad easier. Has anyone on here actually used them? Are they worth it? Do diaper services come in handy? I would love to hear from parents that have used both. Stories would be appreciated! Thank you all so much! You have certainly given me plenty to think about. I am not quite 100% sold on the cloth diapers but I think I will at least give them a try! Thanks a bunch again all.
Was it controversial to use disposable diapers back in the 1970's just like it is today? I was born in '78 and my mom used disposables on me. She said everybody who could afford them was using them, nobody was talking about landfill space as they do today. She went on to say that they were seen as innovative and much more comfortable for babies then cloth. So when and why did this whole guilt complex about using plastic diapers really start?? BTW - I personally think disposables are an awesome invention after babysitting my nephews. I don't get why people are still worked up over the whole "cloth v. disposable", I mean we all throw out a ton of GARBAGE everyday, all of us. It's a part of modern life and it's bizarre to waste so much time worrying about it. Just my $0.02 :D
Who uses cloth nappies (diapers)? I teach Child Studies to Year 9 (14 year olds) at a Sydney high school. In our 'Newborn Care' topic we're just about to compare cloth vs disposable and they are convinced that no one uses cloth anymore. Do you? Why?
Cloth vs disposable diapers? If I were to mainly use cloth diapers, on average, how many would I need? Would I have to do a load of laundry every night? And how exactly do I go about cleaning the bowel movements off them if they are runny messes? Does anyone highly recommend cloth over disposables?
Cloth vs. disposable diapers? I have used disposable diapers for all three of my children. My youngest is 18 months and has been having a really bad diaper rash or reaction to the diaper. It goes down her theighs. I am considering switching to cloth diapers. I am looking for advise from parents who use them. About general use and your overall opinion. Thanks.
Cloth vs. disposable diapers....? My one week newborn son is absolutely amazing. I love him more than I thought I could love anything and recently I've been wondering if disposable diapers are uncomfortable for him... I've seen cloth diapers endorsed on here but there are sooo many and I get so confused about which one to get and how to maintain them... all I want is for my lil angel to be comfy! Do you think disposables are truly uncomfy on him and cloth diapers would be worth the trouble? Thanks....
Cloth vs. disposable diapers? Just wondering if any one has opted for the cloth diapers and or diaper service? How did you like it? Was is cost effective (compared to disposables)? Was it inconvenient or easy? I live in southern CA if that makes a difference, I have been looking into it for economic reasons for our family. I am only 24 weeks pregnant with my first baby, I always thought I would use disposables, however, my fiance suggested maybe we try cloth. Just trying to get some opinions. Thanks... I completely understand that cloth is much much better for the enviroment, and i agree with doing every thing you can to help our environment... however, im gonna be honest... im a first time mom, im fairly young (23), pregnancy seems overwhelming as it is, i dont really think i will care much about the environment while trying to take care of a screaming baby with a wet diaper. I am really looking for what will be practical and cost effective....
Cloth vs Disposable diapers? Hmm.. Here is a question for all the mom's out there. What is better Cloth or disposable diapers? I been doing some reading today about it. I'm still lost on what is better. If you have some info on this and have used Cloth and want to share how it was for you. I would love to hear it. Thanks for taking time to read this and answer.
cloth vs disposable?? I am considering using cloth diapers--i know they are a bit more work--but they are much less expensive!!--we are considering using cloth at home and disposibles on the go--if we are gone all day or what have you does anyone use cloth--what do you like what do you dislike??--what do you prefer?--- Also like the idea of not having the plactic rubbing on the babies legs--cloth seems like it would be more comfortable for the little one any suggestions? does anyone have a link to a good diaper service that delivers??
