Dog diapers??? How can I convince my mom that dog diapers are not the best option for potty training our dog? She says she wants absolutely no accidents on the carpeting if she can avoid it. I'd rather crate train. What do you say?

Dog diapers that will "catch" both pee and poop? I know someone whose dachshund has recently had a back injury. His back legs are now most likely permanently paralyzed. He is still very young and healthy otherwise and he will be getting a cart soon to help him get around. When this kind of injury happens, dogs no longer have control over their bowel functions. I am looking for diapers that will “catch” both pee and poop. Does such a thing exist? Every single dog diaper I have found is for pee only. Any help would be very appreciated. These people love this little guy so much and they’ve all had a very taxing time over the last few weeks since his injury, and not having to worry about this problem would take a lot off their minds. He is currently doing well, and will most likely be back to his old self and tearing around in his cart very soon. Just as people can be happy without the use of their legs, so can dogs, if given the right care. All problems are solved but this one, so if you know of such a product, please let me know!

Can i put human diapers on my dog? I just got a dog from the Humane Society. She is completely perfect in every way except, she has no control over her bladder when she sleeps. I Gave UP!! My Damn Dog's Wearing Diapers Now? I got a pomeranian puppy when she was 8 weeks old. Now, she is nearly 4 mos. I've paper trained her, and she's got about four piss rags around the house that she can defecate on, and she knows that damn well, because she sh.ts and pisses on them - in addition to the off-limit area! I've done EVERYTHING I could, and she still craps all over. I got sick of her snotty attitude problem, so I got a shaving razor, shaved her butt area and purchased some dog-diapers (even I was surprised those were available) and put her in them! I change them before I go to bed, and when I wake up. I shaved part of her, so it'd be easy to clean her a$s if sh.t smeared back there. Am I being a little too impatient? I don't know what to do! She's hopeless, and I don't know if I'm doing the right thing. ^ That is, I TRIED to paper train her, but if she's going to be a jerk and crap on the floor just to spite me, then this will teach her a lesson about manners. Best option for dog diapers/incontinence? My dog is a 13 year old english springer spaniel. He is leaking urine through the house. This mostly occurs when he is sleeping. We put down blankets for him to sleep on that we can wash. But the urine smell is getting unbarable. The vet said there is not much we can do after thoroughly checking into it. She would rather eat garbage then her food, and my mom has now banned her from her house because she brought home a mouse. HELP!!! She's not outside all the time, 80% of her time is indoors or out on a leash with us. Thanks for your concern over the food, I have been reading labels like crazy since the dog food recall, and that Canidae and Fromm stuff is really good, but you can only get it at one tiny shop around here, maybe if it was more readily available it wouldn't be so much. The new Beneful tubs are 1.99 at Walmart though, so I don't know. My brother wanted to eat some of the dogs Fromm one day when he got a whiff of it, and I still wouldn't trust him if there was nothing else in the house - no telling what teenagers will eat, let alone puppies. I wish she was still on her kibble-only diet, but my mom successfully ruined that one for us. Oh well.

How can I potty train my dog? My English Bulldog is now 7 months old, by now a dog should somewhat know how to be potty trained. I've had her since she was 8 weeks old and first crate trained her and she did very well, the last four months I take her outside every two hours. She is still using the bathroom in her cage even though I'm letting her out every two hours. Even at night I have to let her out constantly and can't take not getting some sleep. I walk her outside for at least 20 minutes every time I take her out,, she doesn't go and then she goes in her cage 10 mins later. I can't constatly give her baths everyday, it's not good for dogs. Also I have tried dog diapers and pads, she just chews them off and its more of a mess. Her Vet just says it's something I'm doing, but I've done all I can do. I let her out and its consistant. How do you get Desitin (diaper rash cream with zinc oxide) off of a Dog? My Boxer got a hold of my little girls diaper rash cream and is covered in it, I have tried regular dog shampoo and then my Dish soap (it said it cuts grease) none of which has gotten it off of him, it seems it just spread it out more.

Disabled dog, incontinent both ways. Tips? Our 11 yr old dog had a herniated disc and surgery. Recovered then regressed. Now, unable to walk more than a few steps without assistance. Has begun to urinate and defecate in his bed, or anywhere else and will then smear it while trying to move around. We now have him outside, but that still doesn't do much for his bedding. Any suggestions? We are trying not to euthanize him. I've seen dog diapers but not for poop.
Whats a good diaper for a pekignese dog that can't control her bowel and urination movements? My three year old pekignese recently became paralyzed this past week from half her back to her back hind legs. She can't control her urge to go to the bathroom let alone where she goes. Human diapers are much cheaper, but not long enough to cover his tinkler. So I duct taped two of them together and that works. He already is on a med similar to an Alzheimer's pill. Injury to his back and privates occurred when he was mauled by a rottweiler. Happened in just seconds, then three weeks later the same rottweiler attacked our second dog.
Female dog attracted to me? I have a 10 month old Golden Retriever and she is currently in her first heat. My wife and I bought her the dog diapers to keep her from making a mess, but after a few days she starts to smell realy bad, so I bathe her backside every few days. When I dy her she arches her back and moves her tail to the side , is that normal? She is realy playful and my wife and I sometimes get on the ground with her and play with her. One of my rottweilers just came out of surgery yesterday, he ate a rock a pretty big one to, about 3.5 inches in diameter.... Anyways he used to be in outside dog living in his cooled/heated dog house and wandering the yard all day, but after this incident we are deciding to keep both our rotties inside. How long do I have to wait before I get my dog spayed? She just went into heat yesterday. I have never delt with a dog in heat that lives in the house. All my dogs have always been outdoor dogs. My Dog Ate A Diaper? Tonight, while I was working my dog apparently ate a soiled baby diaper. I don't mean that he ate the contents of the diaper, I mean that he ate the entire diaper. After reading on the internet, I have found mixed reactions to dogs eating diapers and I am wondering if I should be worried. The dog is old and has not adjusted well to having our son in the house, in fact we have been trying to place him for 4 months or so now as he as shown aggression towards him (growling, snarling, snapping etc). I am just sitting here seeing dollar signs flash in my eyes as I think about surgically removing a diaper from a dog I am growing to hate anyways. Anybody else have a dog eat a diaper, pass it, and be fine? P.S. to comments about the aggressiveness of the dog; during the day when the baby is awake, the dog is kept in the basement until we find a home. after our son goes to bed he gets to be let out. Dog spayed AFTER her first/second season? What are your thoughts about waiting a couple seasons before getting a dog spayed? We have a 'pre-heat' German Shepherd, and the local Shepherd breeder thinks that a dog should go through a couple seasons prior to being spayed (saying the dog will develop/grow more if the operation is delayed.) Of course, dog diapers will be a concern, I know, and I'll need to keep her away from neighbors dogs. But I'm wondering if there is any truth to this, and that it's a good idea to give a dog a few seasons prior to being spayed. Thanks.

Ok my wife wanted a dog for about 3 years now. so i finally got her one for her birthday, but she never put the time into potty training her puppy, now she is almost 4 months and she (i apologice before handed) Shits and pees everywhere, we have tried several things. we confine her to a kids 4X4 playground gate with dog diapers. it didnt work, since my wife doesnt change the diaper daily it was a nasty paste of dropings in the floor. i use to clean it but i got tired of it, after that we decide it to let her be all over the room, it didnt work,. she would do it again all over the room, about a week ago we move her to the bathroom but oh my god how do i regret that, and now i was in the process of cleaning it up and decide it to come here. we are now moving her to the downstairs, at the laundry room, i really dont want to keep her outside we dont have a fenced back yard and she is a beautyfull toy poodle someone could try to take her, ANY IDEAS PLEASE, ANYTHING AT ALl ok fisrt of all the puppy is not mistreat it hehe just in case. and i have tried the crate thats were we had her before and it didnt work at all, so im really looking for more options, than just keeping the dog outside, far as im concern a dog is a huge responsability and she is just not doing it, and i dont have any esperience at all with dogs but anyhow i just sit down and talk to her and she agreed to take the puppy outside 5 times a day and more, well see how that goes. and she eats pedigree for puppy, and drink dasani watter she is really well taken care in that matter is just the potty training and i absolubty refuse to give the dog away hehe, over this she allready mentioned once when i told her to pick up some dropings and i told her that shes not 14 anymore and mom isnt coming to do it for her. I SWITCH FOOD TODAY, Since one of the answers said pedigree is a los quality food. i went to my local pet shop and switch to "Nutro Ultra" and i notice that when i serve it she came really fast looking for it and she never did that with the pedigree, and as i can see so far so good. As well i bought the drops for training, im giving a last try before i take her to training.
Dog is leaking?? Okay...I have an 8 year old, female Doberman. She has been leaking urine for a few years now! She was on meds (Proin) from her vet. Recently they stopped working. After many trips to the vet, i am being told either to deal with it, or put her to sleep. I am told there is NO other medicine that will help her! I went online & found another all natural product called "leaks no more" ~ well, it doesn't work either! I have tried dog diapers & human diapers....but they don't stay on, they fall off right away when she sits down & stands up! I am desperate to find something to help her!! I do NOT want to put her to sleep! I mean if my son was "leaking" in bed, I wouldn't put him to sleep!! If anyone has any suggestions....PLEASE let me hear them!! I am already in the process of having all the carpet removed from my house (which is not even a year old), to have flooring that won't absorb the urine & odor! So as you can tell, I am desperate!! PLEASE HELP ME & MY LOVING POOCH!! oKAY...JUST CALLED A LOCAL ANIMAL HOSPITAL, THEY REASSURED ME THAT THERE IS OTHER OPTIONS FOR MY POOCH! SO SHE IS GOING TO A NEW VET AT 2:30 TODAY!! dog shaking? My dog had surgery to have her anal gland removed four days ago. She has been doing fine for the last couple of days but now she is shaking. I don't think it can be an infection because she is on antibiotics and doesn't have a fever. We have her at my parents house and she is wearing dog diapers so she doesn't scoot on the carpet (which she has been doing because she is itchy) Any ideas? Vet is not in because it is good friday.
My dog is in heat . what should i do? ok. I just found out that my digs b day was november 14. so shes not 5 months. Well shes been licking her u no wat. A little to much. So i checked. And found out she has started. Shes in heat! Shes like 9 or 10 months. Is this a right age for a dog to be in heat? Should i get her those dog diapers? What will happen if i suddenly nueter her? Some websites say if i nueter her right after her first deliver she can be diagnosed with cancer. what do i do?
House dog in heat? My new papillon, 1 yr. old, is in heat. She's 3 pounds and the smallest diposable dog diaper swallows her and is of little benefit. Is there anything else out there I can try? I'm told I have 2 weeks of this, and cannot have her spayed until its over. Does anyone have a different remedy they've used for this problem? I just bought some homemade dog panties off of ebay but I won't get them for a few days.

My dog has just been spayed? She's 3 pounds, 1 yr. old papillon. The vet staff still has her in recovery. I am most unhappy with them right now for a few reasons, so in case they do not give me the info I need, I'd like to get it from here before I go get her in a couple of hours. I need to know how to care for her and have some specific questions: 1-when can she eat? Do I need to feed her small amounts? 2-when will she be feeling better so I can give her a bath 3-should I put a dog diaper on her to prevent her from messing with her stitches or could that hurt her instead? 4-Is it a bad idea to pick her up? She loves being picked up and held. Anything else you think I need to know, please tell me.
Why would a dog eat a poopie diaper...? My dog is 3 and a half years old, and since my son came home, she has done all she could to get to all his diapers with poop in them. I thought it was a jealousy thing, but that is the grossest way to show ur jealousy... any tips on how to stop it would be appreciated.

i wanna know hows it a dog can eat human crap but cant eat their own? my sister in law brought that to my attention tonight about her dog eating her daughters diapers but you'd never see a dog eat their own so yes it's been buggin me like crazy cause i'm stumped lol
